ROWDYHACKS X

Is a free, weekend-long, overnight hackathon hosted at UTSA's San Pedro I Data Science Building! Students and recent college graduates* can join us at RowdyHacks to network, code, collaborate, and compete for a chance to win one or more of this year's amazing prizes! We welcome hackers from all disciplines, backgrounds, & technical levels!

*Recent college graduates of up to one year after their graduation date can participate as a hacker at RowdyHacks. 

IMPORTANT DATES AND TIMES
  • Hacker Check-In will be from 9am to 2pm on October 25th, 2025.
  • Hacking Begins at 12pm - October 25th, 2025 and ends at 12pm - October 26th, 2025. 
  • Judging will be from 1:30pm to 3:30pm on October 26th, 2025.
  • Closing Ceremonies will be from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on October 26th, 2025.

WHAT TO BUILD

A project around any of RowdyHacks X's Tracks and/or Challenges!

Tracks

Either Beginner or Overall is something everyone will submit to but only one track per project. 

Challenges

Hackers can submit to any of the challenges. If you think your project fits the criteria for a challenge, submit it for that challenge!

WHAT TO SUBMIT

  • Your project's code
    • This can be submitted through a platform such as Github
  • A description of your project, its goals and process throughout the weekend
  • Your entire team needs to be added to your Devpost

JUDGING

Judging will happen science-fair style and you will need to be present (in-person) to present your project to this year's panel of judges! You will have a presentation time of up to 3 minutes to show off your project per judging session!

Once all projects are submitted, the organizer team will setup table numbers and assign each submitted project to a number. Numbers will typically sort submissions by Beginner and Overall tracks so be prepared to move around!
