catching up...

a few things have changed around here ...
1. Hunter began walking late July... he is now officially keeping Noah on his toes. (and me!)
2. Noah started preschool...
3. Noah is now potty-trained... well, maybe I should say that we let him wear only undees. Yes, there has been an increase in the amount of laundry I do!
4. I headed back to work part-time in August ...

We've spent quite a bit of time outside as of late, especially since the temperatures are no longer in triple digits... who knew that brooms could keep kids entertained?!

colorado

ImageWe spent a wonderful week in Estes Park at the beginning of July... We had a fabulous time as a family. Each day was spent either hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park or riding bicycles around Lake Estes. It was so difficult to leave Colorado when the week was over!

Hopefully our photos will help share the story! ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

summer is here!

Summer is here which means an abundant amount of time spent in the swimming pool. If it were up to Noah, he would eat, sleep and play in the pool. We're hoping that Noah will be a proficient swimmer by the end of the summer, and today, he took steps in the right direction. Noah has never been fearful of the water. He jumps from high places without any need to be convinced otherwise. But, today was his first experience with "water wings/floaties". He did AWESOME. He jumps into the pool independently; He doggie paddles and kicks persistently - swimming all by himself to the edge of the pool. Hunter on the other hand isn't quite sure what to think about all the chaos that Noah brings to the water. Hunter is much more of an observer at this point in time.

Enjoy the photos...

Noah has decided that he likes chocolate :)

catching up...

Image
I've been behind on blogging for quite some time. So much has happened... Hunter learned how to crawl and now has a mouth full of teeth... Noah is simply awesome, comical, hilarious and sweet... John survived a week of being "Mr. Mom" while I headed down to Haiti for 8 days to serve on a medical mission trip. It was an incredible week in Haiti - probably the hardest week of my life. I wouldn't have been able to go on this trip had it not been for the love and support of John and our mothers!! I did pull together a synopsis of the trip to Haiti to share with friends and family, so if you'd like to learn more, just let me know and I'll send right along to you.

* The photos of the boys are from Easter...
