Quotable Quote

" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Breck's Demise

I found a few videos that I took awhile ago. They both show how much torture Breck gets at our house. Notice how many times he gets knocked down in the video where they are dancing. Of course he loves the spray bottle , but it is still torture. I am beginning to believethat as the youngest of nine I endured my own deal of torture!

Easter Party

We had an Easter party today for G, A and a few friends. We made these cute snow globes.Image Decorated cookies.
Image
Image Did the "Bunny Hop."
Image Played pin the tail on the bunny, dress up, had an Easter egg hunt and just had a good time! I honestly have no clue how I pulled this off when we are supposed to be moving this weekend. I promised the girls this party like 2 months ago so I knew I had to do it.

8 Resolutions Every Mother Should Make.

1. I will embrace the fact that I am not perfect.
2. I will get down on the floor and play with my child(ren) every day.
3. I will take care of my body.
4. I will learn to love the chaos.
5. I will make family dinner a priority.
6. I will focus a little more on my marriage.
7. I will make time for my friends.
8. I will remind myself daily that time with my children is precious.

I found this list on a photog blog that I stalk. I think it is relevant to me, and every mother. I think the two that need the most work for me are #3 and #6.

Sunday Afternoon At The Park

I kept thinking I was going to have time to Photoshop these pics....yeah right....so oh well, here they are in their raw, ugly form. Anyway we like to go for rides or play at the park on Sundays with the kids. Here are a few pics from a couple weeks ago.Image

Image It looks like Ryan is going down with them....he's just situating them. Breck looks terribly amused! ;-)

Wanted: Adult Conversation

Wanted: Somebody that doesn't whine and makes sense. Period!

This was the conversation that woke me up at 6 am.

Gracie: Mom this is what Ava said to me, "Neener neener neener you are stupid!"

Mom: Ava I hope you didn't say something rude like that.

Ava: Well there was this snake on the porch....and it was....um.....

Mom: Ava why would you say something like that?

Ava: Becwas (not because...it's always becwas) well....the snake didn't bite me.

Gracie: So I just said "Come on teddy let's go tell mom!"

I feel like I have 20 conversations like this every day. Gracie getting her feelings hurt and Ava totally not caring and making up bizarre stories to side step her behavior.

Adult conversation anyone?.......ANYONE?

Pinkalicious

I like to take my kids to story time at a book store out here. After story time is over, we pick a few books and sit on their leather couch and read. I picked this one. There was also Goldalicious and Purpalicious. This girl eats too many pink cupcakes and wakes up in the morning and her skin is pink. The story just goes on from there. It is such a cute book. I found it for a reasonable price on Amazon if anybody is ever in need of a cute girls book you should check this one out.Image
