Quotable Quote
" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Father's Day

If you know me you know I hate PDA; I think getting all shmoozy on my blog about Ryan on Father's Day would be a form of PDA----so I just can't go there. But I did want to post this cute picture Gracie drew of her and her dad in primary today. I don't know why it didn't scan it in color. I am going to ask the girls a few questions about Ryan and post it on the blog, but that will come later.

UP
Ok so the picture is small :-) but Ryan and I took the girls to the movie Up the other day. I could have lived without the enormous list of previews, but the movie was good. Today I came upon this article (click link below) that just humbled me and made me so grateful for my healthy children and family.

2 Great Recipes
I have made both of these recipes within the last few days and they are both REALLY good!
Summer Squash Casserole
Ingredients:
2 medium yellow squash, diced
1 large zucchini, diced
1 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can cream of chicken (or mushroom) soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup crackers
2 tbsp butter, melted
Directions:
In a large skillet, cook top 4 ingredients until tender. In a separate bowl, combine the veggie mixture, soup, and sour cream. Transfer to a greased baking dish. In a Ziploc bag, crush crackers and add butter. Shake bag until all crackers seem coated. Sprinkle cracker/butter mix on top and bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
Ranch Turkey Wraps
Ingredients:
1/4 cup ranch salad dressing
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
tortillas (about 4) ---just a side note, if you aren't going to use Costco's uncooked tortillas than this recipe just won't be as scrumptious as it was when I made it---
3/4 lb sliced deli turkey
8 slices Monterey Jack cheese
1 medium ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
1 medium tomato, sliced
Directions:
Add top 2 ingredients together and stir until blended well. Just make up the rest of it like you would a taco and enjoy!
