Quotable Quote

" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

A Special Garden

This reminds me of RS but could be used for anything.
A Special Garden
Plant three rows of Peas:
Peace of mind
Peace of heart
Peace of soul
Plant four rows of squash:
Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash grumbling
Squash selfishness
Plant four rows of lettuce:
Lettuce be faithful
Lettuce be kind
Lettuce be obedient
Lettuce really love one another
No garden without turnips:
Turnip for meetings
Turnip for service
Turnip to help one another
Water freely with patience and cultivate with love.Remember, you reap what you sow!
Don't forget that every garden must have thyme:
Thyme for love
Thyme for hope
Thyme for joy

Kielbasa Chili

Ingredients:

2 Tb olive oil
1 lb. smoked kielbasa sausage, cut into 1/2 inch slices (I used turkey and it tasted fine, but less fat)
2 cans diced tomatoes, undrained.
1 can chili with beans
1 can black beans, drained
1 can corn, drained
1 can sliced olives, drained.

Directions:

Brown sausage in oil. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until heated through.

Add cheese or sour cream on top to taste if desired!

Say No To Ponyo!

Gracie and I went out for her special day today. She picks what we do and she decided she wanted to go to the "movies at the mall" and see Ponyo! WHY didn't somebody tell me it was Japanese animation? It was a really bizarre show. I thought it was going to be like Nemo's long lost cousin or something---not a chance. So please unless you like cheap animation and a really weird plot don't go see this movie.Image
