Matching for Christmas

I love, love dressing the girls in matching dresses. We don't do it often because it is so expensive to buy three outfits that match, but it is so much fun. My mom bought the tree knot dresses and I thought they looked so cute on the girls. These ended up being great for the girls to wear to go see Santa Claus this year!

I bought these dresses at the end of the Christmas season last year for a great price. It always pays to hit the sales after Christmas! These were pictures that I took for Christmas cards this year. It was unseasonably warm on the day that I took pics, so the girls are barefoot with winter dresses on! Ha! Typical weather in the South.

November

Tonight is just a little recap of our November! Here are a few things that went on before the holidays began last year.

Lainie and Emmie had their well visits and both girls checked out completely healthy! I need to call the doctor and get their stats for their 6 year and 4 year check-up. While we were there, our suspicions were confirmed when Dr. Ray told me that Emmie had grown 4 inches in a year and that she was going to be tall! She predicted based on their current height that Lainie will be 5'6 as an adult and Emmie will be 5'10! Emmie is already almost as tall as Lainie is, and they can share clothes already!

We finally discovered the very popular Radnor Lake one weekend when the weather was amazing! It is this beautiful trail around a huge lake. The girls LOVED walking the trail and spent most of their time looking for acorns. However, Justin was nervous the entire time that we would get too far away from the bathroom and one of the girls would need to go. Ha! Because of that, we didn't walk the entire trail. We will definitely be going back for more adventures this spring.

We were so excited to get new neighbors last year! A family from our church who we had gotten to know really well over the last 2 years found a house on our street and moved in. Needless to say, we were SO excited! Greyson is Emmie's age and Selah is Ellie's age, so we get to have lots of fun play dates with them. Here are a few pics of our sweet kids. Love all of these babies so much!

Here is a picture of our little Blondie! Her school picture turned out so cute this year. I still can't believe how big she is. I keep looking back at her baby pictures and wonder where my baby girl with the most kissable cheeks went. She is our love bug!

And one last picture of Ellie getting ready for Christmas! Gramma sent her this Santa hat and it was so cute on her.

I looked for pictures from Thanksgiving, but evidently, we didn't take any last year! I guess I need to work on pulling the camera out and taking pictures instead of eating so much turkey! :)

Rewind

I think it is quite obvious that this blog has been put on the back burner lately. I honestly don't have a great excuse other than just not taking the time to sit down and update it. Since this blog is really more of a scrapbook for me, I am going to rewind way back to November of last year and just post some highlights of what we have done since then.

I will start with Justin and me. We celebrated 10 years of marriage on September 14 of last year, and decided to celebrate by going to Gatlinburg for a weekend in November. It ended up being a beautiful weekend with the leaves changing. The weather was perfect!! We had the best time just spending time together uninterrupted.

Here are a few pics from our trip...

We went to Opryland one day and Justin won me this massive gorilla! The girls have since adopted him as their own, which was very much expected. I wish I had a picture that was taken of us while we were riding roller coasters. I have seriously not laughed as hard as I did when that picture popped up on the screen after each ride was over. Justin's face in every picture was absolutely priceless. I seriously regret not buying one. It is very safe to say that he is not as fond of roller coasters as I am. :)
