{{2014--January--May }}

I am only a year behind on my blogging/journaling.  So here is to new years goal of staying current for journaling purposes.  Here is a brief recap of January-May 31 2014

***
January 2014 ended with a New Year Celebration in Charlotte with my parents.  When we retuned home to Arizona I had my check up to find the gender of baby #5. (We announced to my family on Christmas Day that we were expecting, we waited to tell everyone else until we knew the gender and I was farther along).  We were thrilled to find out we were having a HEALTHY BABY BOY!!  Our hearts were so full of gratitude and joy, yet we were very nervous and anxious but held tightly to faith that all would be well with this pregnancy.  It was a very long and scary 9 months for me.

This was Kaiden's response to the news that he was FINALLY getting a new brother.  He was happy that he wouldn't be sleeping outside in a tent! (that was his threat if it was another girl)

We were so blessed to have a great OB and hight risk doctor that took good care of me and the baby. I went in for ultrasound and non-stress testing every other week and sometimes every week.

Macy turned 3 in January!

She was not happy and didn't want to blow out her candles. He doesn't like cake, ice cream, pretty much any baked goods or treats and most candies.  What an odd child! :) But we love her nonetheless.

While Kaiden and Maggie were in school all day Macy and I went on a lot of outings together, when we were not at the doctors.  I loved my one-on-one time with her.

The end of January Jake came home sick with a cold, which turned into the SWINE FLU.  Of course we all got it.  It was a NASTY bug.  We were all so very sick.  We had a quarantine room for whoever had it, and I tried to stay away but a trip to Urgent Care confirmed that all five of us had it. This is what my counter looked like for weeks. It was awful.

I was so exhausted and sick that I fell asleep  on the kitchen floor rug.

Jake and I went on a date with our good friends.  We went to an amazing steak house in Scottsdale and then went bowling.  It was so fun and so good to laugh and relax . This night was a huge turning point for me, it was honestly the first time I can remember really laughing in over 8 months.

We had a annual pass to the Idea Museum in Mesa.  My kids loved going there to get their creative on and I loved it because there was no mess at my house when we were done!

The first week of May, Kaiden and Maggie graduated from their second year with Let's Play Music. They did an outstanding job at their concert.

Since we missed family pictures in 2013 and early 2014, we decided to do individual pictures of the kids.  My good friend Kyla took pictures of the girls. These are my favorites.

Sunday afternoon , which was also Mother's Day we spent the day on a family walk at the beach.  We found this awesome place under the pier  where we spent an hour or so playing hide and seek.  I loved this day so very much.

When we got back to AZ it was a week full of graduations.
We celebrated Maggie at her graduation from her first year of kindergarten at Noah Webster.

Then later that week we celebrated Jake's graduation with his Master's Degree from ASU.
This was such an amazing day for me! I was so happy to have this stage of our life done with. I couldn't have been more proud. I had to blink the tears away!

Jake's parents flew in for Jake's graduation.  They stayed in Scottsdale since we were in the middle of a move and only 1.5 weeks away from welcoming the baby. The hotel they stayed out had an amazing pool so we spent the day swimming and being with them.

I hurried and threw Maggie a friend birthday party the end of May because we knew this baby would come any day and could possibly be born on her actual birthday, so I made sure to have everything ready and a birthday party done with way before hand. She had her cute friends over for a pool party.

Spending as much time in the pool as we can before we move.  Night swimming is our favorite.

It was on the bucket list to hike Camelback. But with me being pregnant with three of my kids in the four years we were in Arizona, it was hard for me to fit it in.  Jake woke up early and took Kaiden on the hike.  They had a fabulous time!  Wish I could of made it.

Jake took us on a tour of ASU after his graduation and bought us all ASU attire.
