{Romantic Mexico}

Jake won a competition and the prize was an all expense paid trip to Playa De Carmen in Mexico.  It was such a treat and so fun to be together.  We left the kids at home with a nanny and we headed out.

 We went two nights early and stayed in a beautiful all-inclusive resort before we met up with Jake's company at a different resort.  I am so happy we went early and had more time in beautiful Mexico.

 We had endless drinks and food. By the time we came home I didn't want to even look at food ever again.  It was all very yummy and so fun to be pampered.

 We hung at the beach, slept in, ate and ate and tried to relax and enjoy our time together.

 The third day we decided to go on a snorkeling tour.  I am so glad we did. We met a fun couple from Gorgia at our resort and they went with us.  They are such a fun couple. We had a blast together.  We snorkeled in caves, rivers and the ocean.  It was really different from the other snorkeling we have done.
One of the stops was this open algae pond, it was beautiful.  It had this platform you could jump off of and a zipline. It was super fun.

 I know that this platform doesn't look very high, but it was and it may or may not have taken me 45 minutes to jump off it, but I DID!! The zip line was a piece of cake...i just hate to free fall.  It was fun.

 We snorkeled in this amazing cave, with bats flying in and out.  It was really cool!

 The third location was where the river and ocean met.  We saw some really pretty fish, an eel  , stingray and a sea turtle.

 On the way back it rained on us.  It was super awesome. I loved every minute of this snorkel trip.

We had such a fun time on our snorkel trip.

After our snorkel trip we headed to the other resort where we spent the rest of our trip.
We stayed at a resort called the Rosewood Mayakoba, it's a five diamond rating and is ranked #1 in all of Mexico and the top 10 in the world.  Our experience at the Mayakoba is an experience I would only read about in a magazine, an experience I never thought in a million years was within our reach.  We were spoiled rotten with fine food, great service, and incredibly beautiful surroundings and accommodations.

When we arrived they took us to a greeting area where they had fabulous drinks and snacks.  They gave us a welcome package and a free pair for both of us of Maui Jim sunglasses.  We had just gotten back from our snorkeling trip and didn't look all that great, and felt very underdressed for this resort.  We asked our little gal who was watching over us during check in if we could go to our room. She said sure and walked us down to a dock where they helped us onto a beautiful private wood boat that took us to our room.  The resort is set on natural rivers and along the ocean, it was amazing. They gave us drinks and a special authentic snack while we cruised the river to our room.  We had our own private dock, pool and BUTLER.. (what do you do with a butler!??!)! When we got off the dock our big glass doors slid open and a man standing in a white suite greeted us and said he was our butler for the week and assisted us with anything we needed during our stay.
Our room was the most amazing room I have ever stayed in.  There was not a single detail missing.  We were completely secluded.  The service and food was outstanding.  This is for sure our most pampered trip we have ever been on.  We stayed at the resort as much as possible...how could you leave such a beautiful place? I can't wait to go again!!

 One of the days we took a day trip to Xplore.  It was amazing and so much fun.  They had like 20 different zip lines that we did, water slides, ATV rides, rafting in the caves and hanging with some good friends.

 We then headed home.  I missed the kids, but was so grateful for the time we had together without the kids.  It was a much needed vacation for us.

Our flight was delayed because of Sandy that hit the next day so we got in later than we were hoping. When we got to our car our tire was flat...but we got it fixed and were home to snuggle with the babies for a minute before bedtime.
It was such an amazing trip.  Keep up the good work babe! :)
