We have had a very eventful last few weeks. Here are the highlights.
JAKE TOOK HIS GMAT! YAY!!! I cannot tell you how happy I am to have that horrific test finally done! He has studied for the last 18 months, which means we haven't seen much of Jake. He did well on it and applications are in.
Jake is home a lot more now, and he is so much more relaxed! Its so nice to have my hubby and the kids daddy back. We have had a lot of fun with him.
The night Jake took the GMAT he came home and spent the evening with Kaiden. He took the training wheels off his bike and taught him how to ride by himself. Way to go Kaid!
On Wednesday morning Jake's mom flew in to play with the kids while Jake and I headed to Newport to meet my parents and siblings for an adult trip. It was Granny's birthday the following week and mothers day that Sunday. So we threw her a little surprise birthday party. The kids we so excited and had such a great time. It was such a relaxing vacation knowing they were at their own home being watched by Granny. She was such a sweetheart to help us out!

We landed and met all my siblings and their spouses and my parents, got into the rental cars and headed to the beautiful Hyatt Resort on the beach. It was an amazing place to stay, and anytime traveling with my Padre to a Hyatt is always a big treat.
We got checked in and then headed to LA for a Dodgers baseball game. It was really fun and full of laughs.
The next day was our super activity, and since there were NO kids traveling with us we headed to Disneyland and California Adventure. It was an amazing day! Who would of thought to go to Disneyland without kids. We all had a lot of fun and hopefully we can do it again.

The next morning we headed to the Newport Temple to do a session together. It was amazing to be all together in the Temple. We always have such great discussions in the Celestial Room. I love it! After the Temple we headed to an amazing Mexican Grill for lunch and got Cheesecake to go....but we couldn't wait!

It was such a fabulous trip full of good food and company. It was amazing for us all to reconnect on an adult level without the title of "MOM and DAD". Adult trips are a must!
On Saturday night, (the night before Mother's Day) my brother Scotty, who is serving his mission in Chile was able to Skype us at the hotel. We were able to see him and talk to him. Oh, how we missed him on this trip, but how grateful I am that the whole family was able to see and talk to him.
The trip went by way to fast and was not long enough. We flew home on Sunday afternoon. It was one of the best trips I have been on in a long time! I love being with my family sooooo much. They are truly my best friends.
We returned home on Mothers Day and said goodbye to Granny and Papa after dinner. The kids had such a great time and it was wonderful to see Jake's parents.

My parents flew to Arizona just a few days after our California trip so they could go to Kaiden's graduation and Maggie's ballet recital. It's my parents last trip to see our little family in the next 3 years (we can visit them but they can't come to us). It was so sweet of them to come see us and play with the kids. It was bitter-sweet for sure.
Our Kaiden graduated from Kindergarten! It was a cute little program. We are so proud of him and his hard work this year!

Mrs. Taylor. She was a fabulous teacher.
The next morning, Saturday, was Maggie's ballet recital. Jake and I were AMAZED at how well she did. She loves to dance and did a great job. It was darling.

Maggie and her good friend Kylie.
My parents took the kids to Toys R US to pick out a birthday present for Maggie and a graduation gift for Kaiden.
Maggie picked a cat
Macy took a nap
Kaiden picked out Star War Legos. Grandma helped Kaiden build it.
Grandpa played hard with the kids.
hahahaha!
and then they left after dinner on Sunday. I did so good holding my emotions in when they left. But then after driving away from the airport Jake said, "that was kinda hard huh?"
I cried the whole rest of the evening. I am so grateful they came out to see us, they are SOOO busy right now and it meant to much to us. They are such amazing people, parents, grandparents and friends. We will miss them so much!
It was a great last few weeks full of family. It was such a great thing to feed both of our parents 2 Sundays in a row. What a treat for us! Now we are off for a month of more traveling, family and memories.
