Warning: PHOTO OVERLOAD!!!
We have been traveling since May and have had such a wonderful time seeing and experiencing new things, but Man-o-Man I am so happy to be home!
We started our trip in Virginia.
finally on the plane...
After a day of flying to the East we made it in around 11:30 PM and got checked into our hotel room...which we switched 3 times due to ants....blah!!! Not exactly my idea of a great hotel after all day of traveling with the kids. The time change is a 3 hour difference, so the whole trip we were SOOOO off schedule. We hung out in our hotel room and finally all went to sleep around 1:30 AM, then slept in until 10:30 AM. I didn't take in account the time change and how hard it was going to be for all of us...so with that we cancelled our two day trip to Washington DC and decided to spend all our time in Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. It was a really good thing we did...it would of been too much to put DC on top of it. So, that is what we did, we spent the next 4 days site seeing the historial sites. We had such a fabulous time.
Kaiden is very interested in History. So it was really fun to teach him and talk to him about it all. My Dad is a huge history buff and has instilled a great appreciation in me for history, ancestor, and our Country--and luckily Jake and I share that same passion. The sites are very kid friendly and hands on. The kids love every minute of it and learned a lot. Jake and I hope that they too, will have a love and appreciation for our Country and were they came from, and we hope that this little trip has planted that seed in them.

| It was very hot and VERY humid...coming from the desert, we felt it! :) |
{Williamsburg}
This has to be the neatest little town, it has such charm. Not to mention the history and the amazing job they did in restoring and creating Historic Williamsburg. We LOVED this day. We stayed on the Williamsburg property at one of their hotels, so we got a really good feel for the place and were able to walk across the street to Historic Williamsburg. It was amazing, when the kids get older we will defiantly be back.
We were then hit by a huge rain storm....it was pretty awesome. We had fun playing in it. People thought we were crazy running and playing in it but all we had to say was we were from Arizona and they understood that rain is rare! :)

We loved our time in Williamsburg, next time we will plan more time to spend there.
That night was a crazy night with tornados and crazy thunderstorms. We stayed glued to the TV and I went to the front desk and gave them my room number and made them promise me that if a tornado came close they would personally come and get us. haha! I was a bit paranoid. It was amazing to see the rain, and driving home from dinner to the hotel was something else.... hurricane weather! It was crazy and exciting. We ended up being OK and had a great time after the storm passed.
The next day we slept in and did some more site seeing and then headed to the Outer Banks in North Carolina, where the second part of our trip happened....

One of the days a group of us went paralleling. It was so much fun!
One of the days we all went on a ride to see the wild Horses on Corolla Island. It was awesome to see wild horse on the beach.

On the way back we were pushed over to the side walk to let a home pass through. It was crazy to see. I guess that several homes get moved each year.
We went to Kitty Hawk Kites and bought a kite. Maggie love it!
Surfing!
Building sand castles and neighborhoods. :)
One day we went crabbing for blue crabs.
Most of the vacation was spent on the beautiful beach, playing on the beach and in the water and being together. My kids were in heaven with all their cousins. It was so much fun and very relaxing.

After we left the Beach house we headed to Yorktown for a few hours then headed to the airport after 11 days of being on vacation.
It honestly was my most favorite vacation of all time. I didn't want to leave, I wish we had another week at the beach house. I can't wait to go back. It's my favorite beach place now! Everything about this vacation and trip was fabulous. I wish it wouldn't have ended!!
