We usually don't go see movies in the theater so it was a treat for the kids to go see Finding Dory. We then went to Red Robin for dinner- another thing we don't do often.

Family Stay-cation #3- Hike the Y
We got up early to hike hoping we would beat the heat. The sun didn't hit us until we were on our way down so it worked out. My brother Spencer and some of his kids joined us on the hike and then Tiff and their youngest joined us for the Bean Museum and eating at the Creamery. It was a good hike and the kids all did great.

Family Stay-cation #2- Swimming
The kids wanted to go swimming so on the 4th of July we went. The pool wasn't very busy when we first got there but when we left it was getting more full. Melissa, Jess and David all jumped off the diving boards- some even did the high dive. It was a great way to spend a hot day. I didn't take many pictures since I was in the water most of the time with them. Kate wasn't a fan of the water and shivered the whole time, but she loved being out.

June
Kate found some toy nun chucks and got really into swinging them. 6/6
Doesn't look very comfortable....but she kept doing it each time she was in the stroller. 6/8
6/10
She learned a new trick, and thinks she is hilarious! (which she is) 6/15
David went with Sam to a Stingers game and got his face painted. 6/15
David earned his Leader in Me award again this year. So very proud of him!
His teacher, Ms Stout, said "David is a great mathematician. Math is really easy for him and he just understands the way numbers work. He has taken on the leadership role of explaining what he is doing and WHY he's doing it. The 'why' behind what we do is the most important. David is a great logical thinker." 6/21
Melissa and Jess earned theirs also, but they were in Ohio when the awards were handed out.
Guess we wore her out. 6/22
This is how she rides in carts... funny girl! 6/23
Fathers day! Melissa and Jess had left for Ohio so they missed Fathers day, but we had fun celebrating Sam. He is such a great father and loves his kids so much! What an amazing man!!!! 6/19
June 26th Kate decided it was time to start walking. Before this she would cruise a bit and only walk if she was holding onto both hands. It seems like once she decided it was time she just got up and went.
6/28
The last week of school was full of activities for the kids, one day Melissa's class had pet day and she begged me to bring Cosmo. It also happened to be the day I was watching 3 of my nieces and nephews. So I loaded those 3 and Tay and Kate and the dog and went. Everyone had fun- but that was a lot of little kids!! 6/29
She is so silly and goofy! She turned 15 months this month and she continues to steal our hearts. She is full of spunk and lots of personality but also so much sweetness. We love our little girl! 6/30

Adventure!
Melissa and Jessica had an awesome adventure- they got to go to Ohio with their Oman grandparents. I confess it was a little hard sending them off on their own (not really, but kind of), but the girls had a blast and such amazing opportunities!
They went on a tour of the Kirtland temple and visitor center
The Newel K Whitney Store
School of the Prophets
Lake Erie, Ohio
John Johnson Farm- this was the original door and handle. They loved saying they touched something Joseph Smith had touched.
Stone Quarry for the Kirtland Temple
Grandma and Grandpa decided to do the drive to Palmyra so they could see the sites there- Sam and I were so jealous but so happy the girls got this experience.
Walking up the Hill Cumorah
Reconstructed Smith Cabin where the Angel Moroni appeared to Joseph.
They got to go to the Sacred Grove and the group they were with had a testimony meeting. Such an awesome experience!!!
Palmyra Temple
They even got to go to Niagra Falls!!!
Sam joined them toward the end of the week for a work conference. They were excited to see their Dad!
They got to go to Amish country two times.
They also went to the Pro Football Hall of Fame
Buggy ride
Tired after a long week!
The formal dinner at the conference.
Flying home!
The girls had so much fun and I think really enjoyed the independence they had from us. They also really liked flying in an airplane.
