Halloween, Tommy's Blessing and Ragnar

Halloween in Hidden Springs is so fun.  The girls get to walk around and see all their friends, everyone is out on their driveways with fire pits and drinks for the adults, the houses are decorated like nobody's business.  It's a big deal.  Eva had been reading "The Story of the World" and wanted to dress like Cleopatra.  Sophie picked out this fun mermaid costume when she was out shopping with Grandma Joanie for her birthday presents.  They loved walking around the neighborhood but didn't really want to go up to the doors for candy.  Thankfully, G&G Palmer were in town and brought a bunch of Canadian candy with them.  I dressed Tommy like a Chipotle burrito and he slept in the bouncy seat on the porch while we handed out candy.

The next day was Tommy's blessing day.  He was very calm and sweet, looking at the lights above.  Devin blessed him that he would be an example to others and his family, that he would be sensitive to the spirit and follow promptings, that he would lead others and he would find joy in serving a mission, that he would marry in the temple and raise a family.  It's hard to imagine this sweet baby of mine growing up to live out this life.  I just hope I can do my part.

Tommy is two months old in this photo.  His blessing outfit is a 3-6 month outfit.  He's a big baby!

Tommy is lucky to have such wonderful grandparents!  Great Grandma and Grandpa Charlie were also at the blessing but couldn't stay for lunch.  They are getting too weak to stay out for too long.  We were happy that they were able to make the drive from Meridian to be there for the blessing.

A couple weeks later I took Tommy with me and went to Vegas.  All my cousins and sisters were coming into town to run the Ragnar race.  It was a crazy weekend.  I mostly hung out with Natalie and baby Alice as the runners took turns heading out for their leg.  We'd meet up with them when we could and hosted them a night in Boulder City.  I ran a leg with Angie through Boulder City in the middle of the night.  It was super fun.  I hope to do the race next year when I'm not nursing or 2 months post-baby.  It takes me awhile to get back into shape!

Teresa ran the race with a 5-month-old Christian in tow.  I couldn't have done that!

I had fun taking a few pictures of these little squirts.  I love all the expressions.
