My Dad

My sister did a fabulous job saluting my dad. I KNOW I could never articulate how great he is quite like Rachel. So go here to read. Thanks Rach and I love you dad!

Shopping Site

It's no secret I like Anthropologie. But let's be real, it's expensive. I stumbled across Ruche at this website and I'm in love. It's still lots of ruffles, bows, and interesting additions to comfy outfits, but a lot less expensive. I only wear comfy. I purchased 3 dresses last week and am very pleased. I did have to exchange one because it was too small. I thought all the sizes were on the small side though. Enjoy!

Random Happenings

Not blogging much lately. All work, no play. Here is a little update and some random thoughts in no particular order.

-We started house hunting about two weeks ago. I'm really loving it when I'm not super frustrated that everything I like is out of our price range. Looking for houses has been a hobby of mine for years, but it's a little more intimidating when I'm looking to buy and not just for fun.

-On kind of the same note, I found a house I really liked, so Adam and I ventured out to find the neighborhood after work. I came home for about 30 minutes then left to find the house and was gone for about 20ish minutes. Well, we came home and found a huge tree branch right where my car was parked and behind Adam's car. It would have been major damage to my car. Call it whatever you want; luck, divine intervention, God, karma, whatever. I was so happy it was not on my car!

-My camera has been broken for a while. I can't decide if I want to get a SLR camera or just get mine fixed. I've already spent about 3 months thinking. Any suggestions?

-It really bothers me when women introduce themselves by saying, "I'm Adam's wife, Sarah." I don't care what the context is, I am Sarah first then Adam's wife if it's a necessary clarification. Show some self respect.

-The World Cup started yesterday. That means it's soccer central in my house. I joke with Adam that whatever he is always watching is something that "happens once a year." Whatever sport it is, that is always the reason he NEEDS to watch it. Well, the World Cup is every four years, so he's been preparing me for a while. Just to show how much soccer he actually watches, he lived in Auburn last time the World Cup happened. He had never had Tivo and was loving mine. Well, there was an incident where I was telling him something and he literally tried to pause and rewind me. If that doesn't mean too much TV, I don't know what does.

-Adam's beloved Uncle Denny passed away last week. We were able to go to the funeral in Raleigh last Saturday. It was a wonderful celebration of his life and he will be truly missed. I didn't know Uncle Denny very well in person like Adam did, but we were pretty faithful e-mail buddies. I will miss his emails and miss his humor. Adam has so many amazing memories with Uncle Denny. We also enjoyed the time we got to spend with Adam's family for a few days.

-Adam started his new job and is learning more every day. I'm proud of his dedication to the clients and his hard work there already. I think this job is going to be a great fit for him and for us.

I think that's all I got. Have a good weekend!
