This weekend Adam and I went camping with 7 of our friends in Cloudland Canyon, GA. It was such a relaxing weekend and so refreshing to be out of the city.
Day 1 hiking before the rest of the group arrived. This was about a 5.5 mile hike and a lot of it had really steep cliffs. Hence the canyon. For those of you who know me well, yes, I stayed back and never ventured on to that rock. I "needed" to take pictures. :)

The canyon
Colby doesn't do so well with humidity, so this creek apparently looked like a nice spot for him to lay down.
Getting ready to hike
Our tent I got Adam for his birthday. I thought it was great.
Our set up where we spent most of our time
Waterfall hike
Charlie, Lauren, Leo, and Layla
Our little family. Colby really wanted to go for a swim, but it was not allowed. So he basically cried the whole time we were at the waterfall
The girls
Charlie the dog whisperer.
Next plan of action
Next leg involved a lot of steps with small holes in them that Colby's paws kept falling through. Does this look familiar Mom and Rachel?
The path was much easier on his little paws
We saw quite a few snakes. Gross. I chose not to post the pictures. You're welcome.
Whenever Colby gets a chance to lay down to eat, he jumps on it. He hasn't woken up since we got home 7 hours ago. To say he is worn out would be a vast understatement. He did great though.
Random impromptu picture that displays our personalities pretty well
Charlie the camping master. And Lauren too. No way we could have gone without them
One last look at our site. It was pretty trashed after 3 days.
I'm so glad we did this! Lots of good quality time.
