The purpose of this blog is to publish anything related to my compulsion of buying and painting miniatures, right now mostly Flames of War related stuff but this will probably change with time…

A bit on myself , I’m 35, living in Sweden but of Finnish ancestry, I’ve always been interested in history and have been playing with small tin(and lead) men since childhood, so one could argue that I’ve been “leadpoisoned”, thereof the name of the blog.

I’ve just recently discovered the world of 15mm miniatures, earlier forays have been to mostly Games Workshop stuff but also some microarmour and 25mm Normans have been painted throughout the years.

    Hej!
    Fann din sida av en “slump” då jag googlade på Karhumäki. Har en del foton som tillhörde min farfar och farmor och en av dessa foton är på just Karhumäki tågstation. Mina farföräldrar kom från Ilola, Muolaa och bosatte sig efter många vändor i Urjala, Finland. Farfar var pansarvagns soldat (45mm Bofors – inte för att jag fattar mycket av det) och var med 1939-1944. Vet att han bl a befann sig i Karhumäki och vid Syväri (fors el. sjö) Själv är jag född (1970) och uppvuxen i Sverige men försöker hålla liv i finskan så gott jag kan. Den kunde dock vara bättre…

    Hi

    I really like your Finnish scout platoon, based on the Soviet scout miniatures. What color did you use for the uniforms? I’d like to make a similar platoon.

      Oh, good question, hmm… maybe beige brown with a black wash? No it was something more khaki, I’ll look it up for a definate answer.
