The Spring of Snow

So as we prepared for the winter snowstorm last night (read: crazy thunder and lightning, 5-10 inches of snowfall now followed by flood warnings due to the increasing temps over the next few days) all in the middle of April no less, I secretly could not wait until morning when I could bring my camera outside and click away. Here is what I found...

Can you spot the Bru-Dog?

Blanketed in white

I cannot believe how much snow a little branch can hold...

He had to check out all the snow too.

He has such a cute head.

H.O.R.S.E Anyone?

My parents passed down a Little Tykes basketball hoop that my siblings and I used when we were younger. Needless to say, Dave was very much looking forward to the day he and Tate could play some hoops together. A nice spring day last week was just that day...

The kid has good instincts, just not the height.

He knows the drill and he's ready.

Channeling Jordan...

Now every time we pull into the driveway, Tate points to the garage and asks to play "ba-ball!". Oh Summer, we can't wait for you to arrive!

How Many Men Does It Take to Put Together a Wagon?

Two. It apparently takes two.

One little and one big.

It also may take twice as long...

Music: It's Good for the Soul

Dave and I were blessed to have parents who loved music when we were growing up. As young-ins, we were both exposed to a wide variety of styles and artists. Now, after Dave and I have combined musical forces, Tate has been getting his rock on with majorly awesome music selections. What can I say, we love to rock out. Before Tate could even crawl, he knew how to rock out. He can rock out anytime, anywhere. Just this morning as a stellar DMB song came on, Tate walked from our room to the office, "drummin'" the whole way. Oh, and he has learned how to climb.

Rockin' out, once again.
