Before we went to Utah we were having a family home evening and I realized at the end that it had been abnormally quiet, low and behold our little Russell Ray was asleep on the girls toy box and snuggling with Leah's pillow. He is so angelic when he sleeps wish it lasted when he was awake!!
Mom (Grandma) and I decided to track down Grandpa and see what he was doing out in the fields, we found him just in time to jump in the water truck and shuttle it to another field for spraying. Funnily everyone was dressed in the same color of blue. Wish it was a better picture but it was just on my phone.
Russell's hair sure gets bleached out in the sun!
We went to Castle Dale Utah to see Aunt Lizzy, she was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and had just finished her last chemo therapy. We wanted to come down and see her and lift her spirits by bringing the kids, we had a good time visiting her and Dennis and the Fauvers. While we were there we decided to go to the dinosaur museum right there in CD. The kids loved it!
We also did a little Slip n sliding, of course that was a hit! Lizzy has the perfect hill too!
The day before my birthday we realized Lizzy had a ton of pie cherries ripe and ready on her tree so we picked a bunch and decided to make my favorite pies. Delish, Leah even did her own little pie, quite the little pastry chef.
Fortunately Miranda had some time off to come visit us while we were there, she and little Atlas were fun company that's for sure. That little Atlas sure is cute and looks so much like Miranda with Aldo's hair and skin. So cute!
For my birthday I knew I wanted to take the kids up to the fun water park on the hill, the Fauvers came and we had such a good time sliding, swimming and just plain getting wet. Cute little Russell has turned into quite the little fish, I love it! For my birthday we had a delicious dinner and mom made me one of my new favorite cakes, a hummingbird cake. I need to find the recipe for sure.
Of course we can't go to Lizzy's without having a tea party so that ended our wonderful trip to CD. Wish it was closer so we could see our extended family more often, we love them all so much and can't wait till we get to see them again!
