Guys, I’m not sure if you are still there and following the blog, but I wanted to say hello!
So much of my life has changed in the last three years and as such I haven’t had time to blog much. I do miss it though, and have been collecting some DIYs to share.
The biggest news is… I’m getting married in two months! So exciting, I will absolutely share pics after we are back from our honeymoon to Japan.

Giant Decorative Tassel | Cuckoo 4 Design
When I saw this tassel I was curious…how could you make something like this for just $9?! Well it really can be done, with just some mop heads, different thicknesses of twine and a paint roller! Crazy, but the end result is just gorgeous and great for so many different decors. Plus if you’re looking for a cheap gift for your stylish friends they would never know this wasn’t from a high-end homewares store!
Snowflake Filled Snowman Cookies | Hungry Happenings
Now I know that these cookies look like a Pinterest fail just waiting to happen, but after checking out the recipe and the video, I’m confident that even I wouldn’t be able to mess these up! What an awesome idea, and so easy to replicate - you just need a few ingredients to make these cookies that are sure to have everyone snapping pics for Instagram (I know I would!)
Bath Salt Ornaments | Why Don’t You Make Me
I was perusing the local craft store’s Christmas discount bin (discounted two weeks before Christmas!) and found a huge bunch of DIY ornaments! I was so excited because I thought I could use them to make massive bath bombs, but then in some kind of kismet I found this fantastic DIY. This is the perfect last minute/I forgot to buy you a present/we didn’t know you would be at this party present. Fill it up with whatever botanicals you have on hand or check out your local health food store for supplies.
Easter Bunny Bark | The Decorated Cookie
Easter eggs and hot cross buns have been in the stores since… January? But I’m only thinking of Easter now because come on guys - four months before the event!? Anyway, I thought I would try making something this year, and this super bright pink park caught my eye, I mean how could it not!? And even though it looks complicated, all you need is candy melts, mini confetti and edible markers (which you should be able to find in most craft stores). I think even the most anti-chocolate (and yes, they’re out there!) folks would love nibbling on this bunny bark.
Rose Petal & Walnut Seed Scrub | A Beautiful Mess
There’s nothing as easy and luxurious as a scrub. And a scrub with skin loving ingredients like rose petal, chamomile and almond oil is even better! You should be able to pick up all of the ingredients from your health food store (or try online to get them cheaper) and you can use them in other recipes like melt and pour soaps or candles. When looking at your oil base, sweet almond, jojoba and hemp are all skin loving. Then relax, scrub and enjoy!
Have you guys heard about unicorn toast? Created by Instagramer Adeline Waugh, it’s such a fun way to start your day. And so easy to make! In fact all of Adeline’s food looks super delicious, but it’s also healthy. Check out her feed for more tasty looking prettiness!
Speckled Key Chains | Sugar & Cloth
Over Christmas, like every year, I hunted for bargains in the sales. There was one keychain I loved that was $20, reduced to $5. And it broken within a week. Sigh. Whereas my previous keychain that I made myself was still looking good after a year (albeit slightly banged up!). So there you go, DIY is good for your soul and pocket! You can whip up a batch of these little speckled beauties and hand them out, or make them in different colours to keep keys sorted.

Frosted Animal Cookie Costume | Studio DIY
Studio DIY always has the best Halloween costumes - easy to make (no hunting for weird supplies!), cute without being tacky (no boob tubes here!) and just darn fun to wear. The Animal Cracker costume is by far my favourite, but there are some other winners here and there is a great back log of designs from other years. There are also great options for group costumes, which can be super hard to find where everyone looks awesome!
Abstract Art | Style Me Pretty
I think it’s time for me to finally buy myself a canvas and make my own piece of abstract art! I’ve been pinning a lot of pieces recently and I love the use of gold leaf in a piece. This tutorial from Style Me Pretty is really simple and easy to follow, and you can use any colour you want to suit your mood or interior. Lavender with silver foil or black/grey with gold foil would also look amazing!

Some people might think a tulle skirt is reserved just for ballerinas, but why should they have all the fun?! As B&B shows, there are lots of ways to style a tulle skirt so you don’t look too frou-frou, and putting the skirt together is pretty easy. Perfect for all the parties that are sure to be coming up!
Wire Wrapped Stone Necklace | Alice & Lois
When I was younger I loved collecting quartz and other rocks. I’m pretty sure there is a box somewhere with all of them in there, along with my ‘precious jewels’ magazine collection! That love has carried through to my adult life, but this time in the form of pretty earthy jewellery. I like that pieces like this can be worn casually with a maxi dress or tshirt and jeans. Ebay and etsy are great places to find stones to wrap - for added glam try dipping them in gold or silver paint first!

I’m loving this Galaxy inspired makeup that has been popping up all over Pinterest. A really fun way to dress up for Halloween in style (and getting to play with makeup!) Pinterest has let me down with sources on these images, so if you know the original creators please mention them in the comments!
Pom Pom Straw Clutch | Earnest Home Co
With Summer finally making an appearance here in Adelaide (albeit a very short burst!) I am thinking about my Summer wardrobe. I’m loving all the pompom trim I’m seeing on clothes right now, so why not a pompom clutch? Perfect for taking down the beach or the pool, it’s big enough to fit all your essentials. I love the black poms but this would also be super cute with bright multicolour poms too. Or try any trim that takes your fancy in the haberdashery aisle!
