California Trip- February, 2016

Image
Lucy loved playing with the phone at the hotel!
We got the opportunity to take a trip to California this past February. I had originally planned to attend a LuLaRoe Training with my team mate, Emie, and I thought it would be a great chance to do a few parties and take the whole family on a vacation. We had to use our time wisely since we had to go see so many people & do so many things. We began our trip by heading to Stevensen Ranch to see Steve & Leslie & their kiddos. Leslie hosted a LuLaRoe party for me as well. We had so much fun visiting them and the kids just loved playing together. It was so sad to leave. The cousins were too cute together. This was also the visit that Lucy fell asleep under some chairs at a church and we couldn't find her. We eventually did, but it may have been one of the scariest nights of my life! We continued our trip by heading south to the beach and meeting up with my best friend since High School, Stephanie, and our friend, Emie. It was truly so fun reconnecting and spending the day playing in the sand. My kids are such beach babies, they love it so much. I miss the beach! We stayed with Stephanie for a few days and enjoyed eating a few our favorite hot spots! We also found out that Stephanie was pregnant and I was overjoyed to share this special moment with her!! From there we headed to Torrance to visit my cousin, her girls and her new baby boy. Her precious baby boy was just the sweetest. It was so fun visiting with her and seeing her beautiful home. I just love my sweet cousin and her little family! We then headed to see our good friends Brian & Becka & their kiddos. We just love this family and we spent a lovely beach day together. Our crazy kids just had the best time! Becka is also pregnant and so sick, I was so sad for her, but she is such a good sport. She hosted a LuLaRoe party for me and I loved seeing my friend, Shannon, for the first time in forever! From there, I headed to the LuLaRoe Training with Emie and Scott took the kids to Disneyland. I hated that he took the kids without me, but they had so much fun so I was glad they got to do that. The LuLaRoe Training was SO much fun and I loved being able to go with Emie. The next day Scott & I took the kiddos to Disneyland and we loved it. My awesome friend Seth signed us in and it's always fun seeing him! The kids loved the rides, but not the lines. Lucy was obsessed with the princesses and Eli loved seeing Spiderman and Thor. The parade was the highlight of the day! Both of the kids were mesmerized! The baby was just as pleasant as can be and was along for the ride. We enjoyed every moment and the next day we headed back to Utah. We were so grateful that the kids were flexible and we were able to do everything we wanted to do. California definitely will always have a special place in my heart, but I was glad to get back home to Utah!

Ezra is 9 months old

Image Ezra Scott is 9 months old! He has no teeth, is sitting up like a champ, and sometimes rolls over. He CAN roll over, he just doesn't very much. He is still not sleeping through the night which has been hard on us, but we manage. He is still nursing, although I am about to wean him so he is taking formula, as well. He is eating baby food and is almost ready to transition to whole milk. He wasn't a good nurser when he was born and that has stayed a true statement until now. I am grateful that I have been able to do it, despite the hardship, and I will miss it, but I am looking forward to being done! Ezra is such a happy boy. He is very easy going and jovial. He loves to laugh and be held, he is very snugly. He is definitely the most snugly baby I have had. We are all so in love with our sweet Ezra.

Dates Nights

It is hard for us to leave Ezra, since he is still little, but we were able to get out a couple of times without him. It is always nice to be able to connect with Scott and just focus on each other. We take Ezra on a lot of dates with us, but we couldn't take him on this one. Scott took me to a gun range to shoot his handgun. Scott loved it, but I did not. It was really terrifying to me. I didn't realize how loud it would be! I almost had a panic attack, but I survived and I know Scott enjoyed the date so that is all that matters!

We went on a group date to Bombay House, an art exhibit and the BYU basketball game. It was a blast!
