It finally SNOWED!

I have been looking back at pictures on this blog and on my computer for a project for grad school and I realized how last year we had zero snow. Zero. I have pictures from January of the girls in light jackets pushing their dolls in strollers at the park. I have pictures of them jumping through the sprinkler in March and on Easter we took a family picture OUTSIDE and they didn't even have cardigans over their Easter dresses. That's all nice and everything but we did miss the snow! I'm happy to say that we finally got some here in Northwest Ohio and that we are enjoying every minute of it (until the next time I write saying that I'm sick of the snow). For now, I'm gonna spend the half hour getting all 3 ready to play in the snow, play outside for 20 minutes and step in melted snow on the carpet from their boots when we come inside and LOVE it because I'm not sure how long it will last!

Christmas 2012

I almost labeled this post "Christmas 2013"... I'm getting a little ahead of myself! I think this Christmas was our best yet (even though we have been busy with the house-selling-process). The kids were so happy on Christmas Day and while they got a lot of their princess toys (girls) and Mickey Mouse toys (Gabriel), Santa did get them fun learning toys as well :) Lily's favorite toys from Santa were of course- Prince Naveen doll from The Princess and the Frog and her Innotab 2 tablet. Grace's favorite toys were her new Rapunzel doll and her Princess and the Popstar Barbie. Gabe loves his Elefun Ball Popper toy and his assorted Mickey Mouse toys. All the kids LOVE the Melissa and Doug metal shopping cart and the girls especially love the cash register. I'm hoping I can create a little "store" in their new play room at the new house.

Christmas Eve looked a little like this:

I'm gonna miss this house.
Sigh.
That's a post for another day.

He did a good job throwing out the reindeer food
(a.k.a.- oatmeal, sprinkles and glitter)

Love him so much!

Lily was an angel in the Christmas pageant at church
She did a wonderful job!

Since Lily was in the Christmas pageant we had to be at church so early. We were there for 2 hours. Snacks kept Gabers contained for a little bit. Sadly, we haven't been to church in a long time and Gabe (and Grace) didn't know quite what to do. It's our fault- we have only been to this church one other time and now that the girls attend Sunday school that means they haven't been there. #1 thing we are doing when we move- find a new church and GO every week.

*For some reason I wasn't able to add captions to the Christmas Day pictures- but you get the idea- they opened presents and had a great day!
