We've had tickets to go to this event for the last 3 years. It's always after school starts and during the middle of the week, so it's never a good time. Avery was so disappointed last year. She's had a crush on Kyle Beckerman for years. This year we knew we had to make it work no matter what. We made sure that everyone had shirts to sign or wear, even little Dreyden.
Even though it wasn't a game we had to eat at Crown Burger, It was soooo YUMMMY!!!
Then we proceeded to stand in lines for hours.
Amazingly enough the boys were pretty good. Landon liked running up and down the steps in the stadium.
We went to Beckermans line first of course. After over an hour we made it to him. The kids all went through first and I was helping the dude behind us by getting one of his things signed. I leaned over to Beckerman and pointed to Avery and said, "See that cute little blonde girl. She had a crush on you forever. She's been so excited to meet you in person, so thanks for doing this." He asked her name and kept looking over at her. I could tell he wanted to do something, but his optional are very limited. The line was hours long, no pictures are permitted. He waved at her as he signed my stuff. Then as we were leaving, in a loud voice he said "bye Avery" and waved. She was the brightest shade of red ever with the biggest smile. All the hours of waiting we would do that evening were worth it just for that.

We got in a couple more lines and got a few more signatures. It was interesting to see what players are annoyed by whats going on and which ones are friendly and cute with the kids. This group other then Mulholland were very grumpy.
Dreyden was done standing in lines within a few minutes after getting there. One of us walked or pushed him around in the stroller while the other one stood in line or took pictures.
Mansally was so fun with the kids and outgoing and talking to everyone. Landon liked him a lot.
Tylee was the most excited about Rimando, but who wouldn't be! He was such a good sport too. He's was a friendly as he looked. It was well worth it for the kids sake. For a few moments I felt like a great parent.
