It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

If Scott would have had his way, we would have put the tree up a month ago but I held strong.  Now that the girls are teenagers they are all about the pretty trees with white lights and matching ornaments, yippee!!  So we did a fairly pretty tree.  I don't have the money or time to do a really fancy tree and it doesn't really matter that much.

I can't get a good picture of this child....

This is generally all I get

After Scott hauled up 10 totes of Christmas stuff, set up the 14 ft tree he also set up my skinny pencil tree in the stairway.  Isn't he amazing!!

Avery only likes to be touched when it's her idea and Tylee only likes to touch her when she doesn't want to be touched. You can tell what kind of moment it was.

Addason is rarely ever home so we were so happy she could be here when we decorated the tree.  I'm trying to get my December calendar all figured out so that she can ask for days off and do some Christmas stuff with us. She might not be here next year and that will be very weird.

Mia was loving the light but mostly she loves that she got to lay on her back.  She went to the doctor two weeks ago and had to get her head measured cause it's sooo flat.  They said it is 3% over the limit. Which means she needs a helmet.  That sounds awful, terrible, gross and a real pain in the behind.  He said since she wasn't 6 months yet I could try to change the shape of her head by 3% and he gave me 3 weeks.  So for the last 2 weeks she has only been allowed to lay flat on her back when she is getting her diaper changed or getting dressed.  He has caused her much stress cause she loves sleeping flat on her back.  Hence why her poor head is so flat.  Sometimes she wakes up in the night just furious that she's on her side.  I can see a very slight difference in her head shape but I'm not sure if it's gonna be enough.

Thanksgiving Week

Nataly loves to hold Tylee. She'll pat her legs and tell Tylee to sit.

Scott thinks that Mia looks just like a troll.  The only resemblance I see is the eyes, they look the same.

Scott usually takes the kids on a Thanksgiving Day hike but since we were doing a meal at our house he decided to do it the day before.  He invited one of his friends that has two little boys.  That made everyone else not want to go so just he and Drey went.  They went and hiked up to the cave by the clay pits.

While in the tunnel the discovered a little bat.  Drey did not like that at all.

He had a blast playing around with other little boys.

He was very proud of his pilgrim outfit that they made at school.  He had it on when I picked him from school.  Within a minute of getting in the car he started complaining about how itchy and annoying it was.  I asked why he was wearing it if it was so itchy.  He said, "Cause I knew you would want to see me in it and think I was cute so I wore it." I let him take it off.

Nataly has to copy whatever any one else is doing so.....

We used our China for like the second time in history.

I made mom's rolls two days before and froze them.  I took them out and put them in the freezer the night before Thanksgiving.  I was so worried that something would go wrong but they were absolutely perfect.

We spent the morning watching the Macy's parade and home movies.  I loved the movies more than anyone else.  My kids were so dang cute!! It was also fun to have almost everyone all together all day long just hanging out in the same room.

I made everyone take a picture and no one was happy but oh well!!

It doesn't look like a ton of food but it was a ton!!  Everything was oh so delicious!!

After dinner we ate some pie, took a little rest, played some wii games and spent more time hanging out.  We headed over to Carols at 5ish for a second dinner. The boys were so excited to go play with cousins.  Logan, Landon and Cooper had a contest to see who could gain the most weight and Landon lost.  Of course there was lots of BeyBlading going on and nerf gun wars. We came home around 8:30 to put the babies in bed. All in all it was a great day.  I was super sad that Bayler never came over to visit.  I know he didn't plan on eating with us but a short visit would have been nice.  In all the years we've been married, we've always made sure to visit both families on the holidays.  Kinda makes you feel like unloved piece a of poo.  But at the same time, I can't let that ruin my day with the rest of my kiddos.

I'm not usually a breakfast eater cause generally I'm simply not hungry but when I was getting the kids breakfast I saw these most perfect rolls just sitting there.  I HAD to have one so I ate a turkey sandwich for breakfast.
Image
Drey wanted to take this picture cause he said we looked like a girl train plus Mia was just so cute.

Nataly has totally fallen in love with Scott, which is amazing cause she hates most guys.  It might have something to do with the fact that he gives her treats all the time and picks her up anytime she cries and carries her around with him.  She's starting to get sick again and that's no good for anyone.

We took the babies swimming for the first time and it was a success!!  They both loved it.

Bayler graced us with his presence on Thursday for an hour or two and then again for about an hour on Friday.  He was showing us his drone.  It is pretty awesome and fun to drive.

Frequently I'm told that we look alike, hahaha!!! I find it very amusing.
