Prayer Update

We continue to wait for the paperwork for Isaiah, Josiah, and Lydia to be completed in Ethiopia so that our agency can petition for a new court date. There is one government official that needs to review and sign off on the paperwork. Our agency has been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to track him down for an appointment. We finally got word that they have made contact with him and that he has agreed to review our paperwork on Monday. (Ethiopia is 8 hours ahead, so that would be Sunday night here.) Please pray that all of the paperwork would be in order and that he would feel confident in signing it on Monday. Our hearts continue to cry out to the Lord and trust that He will SOON bring our three home.

"I will pour my water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground. I will pour out my spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your descendants says the Lord." Isaiah 44:3

Things that make me Joyful :)

Image

-Warm sun-shiney Spring-like weather

-Kaden's delight and giggles over his new fort and swing set

-My dryer is fixed

-God speaking grace over me even on the days when I'm a puddle

-My mom stopping by to just give me a hug and some chocolate

-Spring break get-away the day after tomorrow

-My mailbox being flooded with cards and notes from my YG friends

-Hollie texting just to say she loves me

-My van got vacuumed out

-Amazing worship cds that also arrived in my mailbox (and are playing right now)

-My precious husband who knows just what to say and when not to say anything

-Looking at sweet pictures of my beautiful brown babies

-Warm chocolate chip cookies

-Friends planning a prayer "battle" for our kids Thursday night

-Corinne being an amazing babysitter to her litle bro

-God's faithfulness to our family

But let all who take refuge in you be glad;

let them ever sing for joy.

Spread your protection over them,

that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Psalm 5:11

Sweet Post

My dear friend Kim wrote a post about our kiddos on her blog. She described them each so perfectly!

Answered Prayers

Two big prayers were answered yesterday:

The Kulps, whose baby Micah is from the same orphanage as our three, received their court date yesterday. Micah's paperwork was finished a couple of weeks ago and yesterday they FINALLY received news that their case will be heard in court on April 1st. We praise the Lord! Please keep praying Micah to the finish line!

We also received word yesterday that ALL the children from Infansi@ (the orphanage our children were originally from) will be transferred to a new orphanage, the same way our children were. This has been the prayer of our hearts for months that the Lord would provide a way for these children to be placed into families. We are humbled that God used our case and the Kulp's to help bring hope and a future for these children. We Praise God that we visibly see purpose in our wait.

Keep praying for Isaiah, Josiah, and Lydia. The latest update (which is the same one we've had for the past two months) is that hopefully their paperwork will be finished in a few more days. At that time, our agency will be able to petition for a court date. Having a court date, will help me visualize a finish line. It will be tangible confirmation to my mommy-heart that one day I will get to hold my precious babes.

This old hymn by Fannie Crosby has been running through my mind since yesterday. The words are rich and definitely my hearts cry, as we continue to wait:

Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior

Pass me not,
O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief,
Kneeling there in deep contrition;
Help my unbelief.

Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.

Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Thou the Spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heav’n but Thee?

Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

From the Ends of the Earth

Sometimes in life there are things that are hard to wrap your mind around. Today has been one of those days for me.

Really - What are the chances that I would have friends in ALL of these places at ONE time for the purpose of loving on orphans and bringing them home? I am overwhelmed with the goodness of God that He would set me in the midst of these friends and that TODAY would be such a monumental day for ALL of them. Mind-boggling!

And while they cannot update their blogs or post enough pictures to keep me satisfied, each one stirs up those deep longings within me to have my own experience of finally getting on that plane; my own experience of another country the Lord has drawn my heart to; and my own experience to hold the children that He planted in my heart many, many months ago.

Lord, we continue to wait for your timing. We continue to pour out our hearts desires before you. We continue to trust that you will complete this amazing work that you have begun.

Here are the words to a song that has been running through my mind today. (I couldn't find a good you-tube).

Lord Most High

From the ends of the earth
From the depths of the sea
From the heights of the heavens
Your name be praised.

From the hearts of the weak
From the shouts of strong
From the lips of all people
This song we raise

Throughout the endless ages
You will be crowned with praises, Lord most high
Exalted in every nation
Sovereign of all creation
Lord most high, be magnified

The Cry of our Hearts

I will say to the north, "Give them up!"
and to the south, "Do not hold them back."
Bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the ends of the earth
everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.
Isaiah 43:6,7

Lord - These verses are our prayer. Please release our children and let them come home to us. Our hearts break with longing as we wait for your purposes to be accomplished. Please do not delay.
