Happy Easter - Welcome Spring!

We had a great Easter at home with our family. It was nice a quiet but especially fun with sweet Avery. She was so darling in her Easter hat plus the weather was so nice that weekend. We had tried to make it to a couple Easter egg hunts on Saturday but our timing wasn't good and we broke Avery's heart twice. It was pretty sad. We were just happy when she was so excited to do her own little hunt in our backyard.

Avery's Favorite Things

Avery will be two next month. It is hard to believe that nearly 2 years have passed since this wonderful sweet daughter joined our family and turned our lifes upside down in the most wonderful way. She makes us smile and laugh everyday. We feel so blessed to be her parents.

Here are some of our sweet Avery's currently favorite things:

· Mickey and Minnie Mouse
· Shoes – especially shoes that aren’t her own
· Tomatoes (know to her as matos)
· Milk (as long as it is in a bottle - she refuses it in any other form)
· Her Ribbons (a well loved little blanket with several satin ribbons)
· Sucking on her bottom lip (especially when she is holding her ribbons)
· Saying Please after everything (more please, down please, up please, door please, out please, Mickey please)
· Watching videos of herself on the computer
· Fruit Snacks
· Music on the Radio when we are in the car (one of her favorite songs right now is “Without You” by Usher)
· Singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
· Pajanimals Music
· Playing with Emmy when she is at Melanie’s while mom works
· Wearing Necklaces or anything she can find to use as a necklace
· Coloring (including walls and the floor)
· Wearing Princess Band-Aids (on her right hand middle finger that she burnt at Grandma’s on a hot cookie sheet on Christmas Eve)

We had a great time in Clovis, CA with my family over Christmas. Avery got to know her cousins Dax, Kaylin and Brody and had so much fun with them, she was sad to leave. We enjoyed the lights at the zoo, our family Christmas program, jumping at Skywalk, and just being with family. Avery had her first real owie, she burnt her fingers on a hot cookie sheet. She was such a brave girl.

Minnie Mouse

Avery loves Minnie Mouse so she had to be Minnie for Halloween. She normally won't keep things on her head but when she saw she had Minnie ears she loved them. She had a great Halloween. One of my favorite things was at the Trunk or Treat. Once she figured out they were pass out candy she began to run from car to car. She also preferred to have them hand her the candy and place it in her pumpkin herself.
