Ornament Making and Tree Decorating
We decided to make salt dough ornaments this year.
Miles HAD.A.BLAST!
For the last 9 years we have used this small artificial tree.
I loved this tree, it is such a cute shape and holds all the memories from every single one of our Christmas's past.
So I decided that it would be the perfect little tree for the kids to decorate. I think this is going to be a new tradition. Miles thought it was so fun decorating the little tree and absolutely loves the idea of having his own tree.
Gabe grew up having live trees and since we were in the market for a more grown-up tree he got very excited to pick out a live tree once again.
So, off we went to find the perfect tree.
Yay for Christmas!

Give Thanks {2012}
I am probably the worst person at taking pictures when I've got something else on my mind.
For example; we hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. Yay! It felt like a major right of passage into adulthood. Anyway, point being, I was so consumed with getting everything together that I totally forgot to pause and take a picture of my beautifully set table or the yummy food.
Fortunately my sister brought her camera and snapped a few pictures of the people we spent the day with. But aren't the people the most important part anyway?
Gabe's parents also came down to celebrate with us, but managed to avoid the camera.
Oh wait, I did get a shot of this super scrumptious cheesecake that I made. Mmmmmm....cheesecake.
Happening of Late
Morgan was able to attend the temple for the first time and receive her endowment. What an amazing day!
So grateful for the blessing found in the House of The Lord.
Bountiful experienced it's first major snow storm of the season. Man what a doozey!
Perfect play'n snow though. Miles woke up and saw the snow and yelled,
"Mom, IT's CHRISTMAS!"
Liam {4 Months}
He passed his 4 month well-check with flying colors.
Height: 25 Inches - 59th % ile
Weight: 15.2 Lbs - 54th % ile
Head Circumference: 18 Inches - 33rd % ile
We started cereal at about 4 and half months. He was always grabbing for our food and couldn't take his eyes off of us when we'd eat. So far he is a champ and has done very well with this new stage. I love watching him open his mouth big and wide in anticipation of each bite. So cute!
He continues to be our sweet little angel baby. He is so smiley and happy almost all of the time.
His eyes seem to have a twinkle to them that ooze happiness. He melts my heart every single day.
One glance at this sweet face and you can't help but fall in love.
I love this picture, too bad his foot got in the way :)

Non-TV Time
I've decided that since Liam was born I have been a little to liberal with the amount of time Miles spends watching TV and on other quiet time wasters. So we've been on the look-out for simple, educational, fun things to do with him that don't involve "tech".
Earlier in the week Gabe came home from work with this ginormous balloon. Miles had so much fun playing with it. I think we hit it around for at least an hour.
We spent one morning playing with water and food coloring. Watching the water change and hypothesizing about what will happen when we mix colors together. Miles loved it and has been asking to play with food coloring most days since.
During Liam's nap today we were getting bored so I decided a good ole mess was in order.
We mixed up some cornstarch, water, and food coloring (of course).
Whala - GOOP!
