The Most Amazing Gift!

It had just gotten dark on Christmas Eve so I went outside to plug in our Christmas lights.  And to my great surprise there was this beautiful rocking horse on our step.  There was a little tag on it that said, "Merry Christmas. With love, the Wrights".

The Wrights are an amazing couple in our ward.  My first thoughts were, "WOW!  This is amazing!"  Then my second thoughts were, "Did they get the wrong house??  This gift is way too nice!"  I called my Mother-in-Law who is a friend of the Wrights and told her about it.  She said that Phil makes these for his grandkids and that they must really love us to give us such a great gift.  I am so thankful for wonderful people in this world!  So grateful for their kindness in sharing this beautiful gift with our family.  The boys love it!  Jason thinks it is the greatest thing.  Anytime Tyler asks me to do something and I say no, he'll say something like, "Well then I am going to ride the horse and never get off until you say yes."  And Kaylee is still a little too small for it, but she'll grow into it in just a few short years.

I feel so blessed and it makes me want to help someone else feel the way that I feel right now.  I want to do something kind to someone else to pass on this great feeling of love!  Thank you, Brother and Sister Wright for making this amazing gift for our children!  We love it!

Kaylee's A-Walkin'!

Kaylee is learning to walk.  She is super cute about it.  She is getting a little more brave each day, so it will be no time at all until she chooses to walk all on her own.  For now she still prefers the security of walking between Bryce and I.  Here is a video I put together of a few of her first steps.  Enjoy!

Some Good Old Fashioned Fun

Yesterday we went to Midway Pond to go fishing.  Jason was so excited.  He got his fishing pole and tackle box and put them in the car and was buckled in there ready to go before I could even blink!  :)

Tyler wasn't convinced that he wanted to go fishing until we told him he could feed the ducks while Jason fished.  Then he was all for going as well.

Kaylee was just happy to do whatever we were doing.  :)  Love this little girl!

Mom and Dad

My Mom and Dad came to visit us for a couple of days and it was so much fun!  They are leaving on a mission soon, so it was fun to have one last visit before they go.  I sure love that Mom and Dad of mine!

We went boating the first night they were here.  (Of course, it wouldn't be a true visit to the Rowser's if we weren't at the lake for at least part of the time.)  We boated across the lake and had a little bbq.

Tyler was being really brave and went really far our into the lake.Image

Jason heard us praising Tyler so he decided he'd show us how far out he could go as well.

You can see his tiny head bobbing out there behind Bryce.

I am obsessed with Pelicans!  I love them and they have been hangin' out at our lake lately. :)

The next day Bryce had to work in the morning so the rest of us went on a hike.  It was wonderful!  I wish I could do more hikes, I sure enjoy it.  And the boys did SO WELL hiking all on their own.  Not a surprise for Jason I guess, but this was Tyler's first real hike without being carried even a little bit.  He did awesome!
Here we are just starting out.

Along the way Jason kept finding the perfect picture opportunities and would stop and have me take his picture.  Tyler often joined him.

Kaylee enjoyed riding on my back.  (Although she enjoyed being on the ground more I will admit.)

We made it to our destination!  It was beautiful!

Later that night we had a weenie roast with Vince, Lara, and their families.  After that Mom and Dad went with Vince to visit him for a couple days.  It was so nice to have them here.  And not long enough!!  :)  We had a lot of fun!

Lara made us some TASTY campfire treats!

Tyler is 3!

(This is my 5th post today, so make sure you scroll down if you want to see more of the fun we've been having!)

Tyler is such a sweet little boy!  He has the cutest voice and the funniest way of saying things!  He is constantly keeping Bryce and I entertained!

He loves to be the center of attention when he is comfortable around the people he is with.  He really enjoyed his birthday and milked up the fact that he got to do whatever he wanted because "I'm the birthday boy!" as he would say.

He would say, "Mom, I want to be the first to climb in the boat.  Cuz I'm the birthday boy!"  I'm pretty sure I heard that fifty times on the short walk from our campground down to the lake where our boat was beached.  :)

When I asked him what his favorite part of his birthday was his response was "My cake."  And another time it was, "My Piñata."

My cute little birthday boy!

(I made the cake myself!  It was so pretty when I made it.  I guess traveling 3 hours in the car and spending a night in the tent took it's toll on it.  Haha!)

Singing Happy Birthday.

This is what I found after he ate his cake.  He was super tired!

We went into the small town of Manila to get ice cream for his birthday.  I asked him if he just wanted to go with me or if we should invite the rest of the family.  He decided it would be more fun to have everyone there.

Tyler wanted the big cone!  And even though it was twice as much and I knew he wouldn't eat it all, I decided since it was his birthday we would get it for him.  He sure was happy about it!

Later that night he finally got to open his birthday presents.  He was so fun to watch open his presents.  Every single thing he got he was SO EXCITED for.  (Even if he wasn't quite sure what it was at first.)  He had some of the best expressions!

Love him so much!

Kyler
Image

Austin didn't want to take a turn hitting it because if you're the one to break it you have the blindfold on and it's harder to get the candy.  So when Kyler knocked it off the rope it just threw it on the ground to break it.  Let the madness begin!

Everyone got to put their candy and toys in a bag.

Kendra was sure excited about hers.  ;)
