Easter 2014

Just like any other holiday Easter is a time for family, fun, gatherings, and parties. Its also a time to remember our Savior Jesus Christ and his Resurretion.  Some of the fun we had was a party with the Hadlocks this was the first year we didn't have the adult Easter egg hunt which made me sad and I hope will resume again next year. The Carters Party. We again did not bring home the egg bashing plaque which was fine by me :) Then we had or own newly tradition started last year of our own money Easter Egg hunt for the kiddos. I think Kev and I enjoy it just as much as they do. And Lets not forget easter egg coloring. Something if not for Kev i may not do EVERY single year. However once they start i enjoy not only them and the fun they have but coloring a egg or two myself :)

  

Angel and Ledoux's Puppies

What a fun litter of puppies we had this year from our beautiful Australian Shepherd Angel. The stud was Ledoux..and he truly is a stud :)

She had 6 puppies on April 17th. Being Angel is a Tri we thought for sure we would get at least one tri. Nope ALL merles. Cant complain. Ledoux obviously is dominate and they were the cutest pups ever! All were sold by 8 weeks and went to fabulous homes. Some to be workers and some to just be plain ol pampered. This is one of the funnest things we do here on our little farm. Its a great teaching and learning experience for our kids to care and help out. Would we love to keep them all? YES, but know thats not an option. And by 8 weeks you kind of are ready to say good bye ;)

Happy Birthday Rhett

Yes its true two of my favorite little people have birthdays in March. 

Today was this little guys. He is my baby, yes you heard right my baby. And today he turned 8. I have to admit i am freaking out a little bit. I wish with all my heart they could stay little just a wee bit longer. 

Rhett is my little twinkle eyed Joe. He keeps me on my toes and still loves to sneak in to my bed on occasion. Hey he's my baby i say once again, i will let it slide for  a little longer. DONT JUDGE! Or do it will still happen. I love this kid with all my heart and am so glad he is our caboose!

Davis received his arrow of light

Tonight Davis received his arrow of light award through the scouting program. To receive this award Davis has worked very hard. Davis has always liked the scouting program and worked so hard to advance to his next levels and do his best in whatever may be required. He also received a religious knot which is a great accomplishment as well. 
Davis thought it was pretty cool that his dad was able to meet him at the other side of the bridge when he crossed over. I am truly a proud mom and am never surprised with all this boy can and is willing to do.

Girls Night Out

 Girls Night Out with the Carters this year was at Color Me Mine. This is a place you go and paint a craft. I would have to say it was a hit with all the girls. Me...ummm... Well lets just say artsy anything has never really been my thing however I love a good fun outing and this was a fun. Anytime I can get out with Hadlie and we can go have a good time is GREAT!

Had painted a unicorn piggy bank (of course) and i did a Birthday plate. We ended the evening with dinner at Kneaders. YUMMY! I'm truly glad my mother in law has done this. We are truly fortunate as family to be so close and be able to come together and make the memories we do.

Davis Turns 11

March 6th this handsome young man whom we all use to call "baby Davis" (and yes we still sometimes do) turned 11.  I can't say enough how much joy, happiness, and fun he brings into our family. He is smart and could probably outwork most men! He is easily entertained and always up to something. He recently got into legos and will spend hours making masterpieces.

I was also so very proud that he worked so hard and was able to receive his arrow of light through boy scouts. He was very excited too.  I am always amazed and sometimes even saddened at how fast they grow up. However each stage and every child is a fun adventure!

Its Valentines!

The older i get i realize I love Valentines day more and more..why? Because i love my kids more and more each day and this is just a fun way to celebrate and loving holiday. We have a tradition of a pink breakfast (usually frenchtoast...pic doesn't really show this) and then a red dinner. Ofcourse i "heart attack" the kiddos. I take a little something out to the school to be delivered to them then we finish off with a red dinner...yummy!!! So much fun for me. Well and i hope them too. I just love seeing them smile and getting excited over such simple things.
