We hear things all the time each thing we hear tells us about something around us, right now I hear my kids talking to the care bears on TV which means they are safe. I also hear the dishwasher which means my dishes didn’t get done last night. I hear the washing machine which means soon my kids will complain cause they will have clothes to put away. I hear a bus outside which means this is the time next year Zoe will either be getting ready to leave right now or getting home right now, Hopefully the latter. I also hear my computer hard drive hard at work which means soon I will have new pictures on my computer and off my camera, I really hope I figured out the downloading of this new camera. And sometimes we have to hear things hundreds of times before we finally realize what it really means, sometimes we catch on the first time. How many times do you tell you baby to say “mama” “drink” “dada” “bye bye” “please” “thank you” before they say it and really knows what it means.
This happened to me with food a couple weeks ago, I think I finally figured out how much food impacts our lives. Much to my childrens dismay this has led to a food makeover at my house. No I don’t think I’m being extreme and most of the food we have tried has been delicious.
This was dinner just the other night, I was making it while I was talking to my sister on the phone she wanted pictures, so this post is for her.

The next day I had this wrap with leftovers for lunch it was also so delicious we also used the rest of the leftovers for lunches during conference. SUPER YUMMY!!
The recipe was really easy 1 can of black beans drained, 2 cups of corn, 1 red bell pepper, 1 onion 1/4 cup cilantro leaves chopped, 1 jalapeno, 2 cups brown rice (I think you could use any rice, quinoa, or other grain) 1/4 cup white wine vinegar. I added chicken and I should have added more vinegar because I added more ingredients, I also didn’t mix mine with the rice because I thought I would give my kids the option of choosing what ratio of bean salad they wanted with their rice.
