Cheers for Children

Circle of Friends, a great organization supporting Arkansas Children's Hospital is hosting a summer celebration, "Cheers for Children's" this coming Saturday, the 27th!

It's at George's from 7 to 11pm and will have great music by Miller & The Misdemeanors and will have a silent auction and every one's favorite-- DOOR PRIZES!!

Did I mention Mellow Mushroom will provide dinner!?

Tickets are $25 and are available at Riffraff!! Grab a couple and having a wonderful evening supporting Arkansas' Children's Hospital!!

Youth Bridge is a non-profit mental health agency established in Winslow in 1963. Youth Bridge evolved over the past 46 years from providing custodial care, treatment and residentially based services for adolescents to now the Treatment Facility f Choice in NWA for comprehensive individualized mental health services for adolescents and their families.

Due to ever growing need for quality mental health services in NWA, Youth Bridge continues to expand its services and offers a full spectrum of comprehensive mental health services and a continuum of care for adolescents and their families. Youth Bridge continues its tradition of excellence in providing residential, educational, emergency services and substance abuse programs for adolescents in NWA.

Youth Bridge provides many services including:

Diagnosis and Evaluation, Psychological Evaluation and Testing, Psychiatric Services, Substance Abuse Treatment, Residential Treatment, Medication Management, Behavioral Management, Case Management and Aftercare, Transitional Living Programs, Emergency and Long Term Shelter Services, Prevention, Mentoring, Bi-Lingual Services

Outpatient Specialties Include: Substance Abuse Treatment, Anxiety, Grief Counseling, Step Family Counseling, Abuse, Depression, Parenting Skills, Conduct Disorders, Behavioral Problems, Conflict Resolution, Persistent and Severe Mental Illness, ADHD-ADD, Sex Offender Assessment an Treatment for Adolescents, and In-Home Counseling for AT-Risk Children.

Each day in America 383 children are arrested for drug abuse.

In Arkansas, drug and alcohol abuse among teens account for over 50% of juvenile arrests?

Youth Bridge Inc. annually serves over 3,000 at-risk teens in NWA and North Central Arkansas who need their flexible solutions for challenges such as abuse, neglect, homelessness, behavioral issues, and drug and alcohol problems.
