August 2009

Last August we took a trip to California with Jeff's family. We had a great time. We spent most of our time on San Clemente Beach relaxing, sun bathing, playing in the sand and waves. But one day just our little famiily went to LegoLand. We had the BEST time. Our boys loved every minute of it and so did Jef and I. On our trip we also announced to everyone that we were 19 weeks prego with baby #4. Surprise!!!

The Talk Sticker

Bryson was asked to give a talk in primay a few weeks ago. If I just said he was excited it would be a huge understatement! He was elated! They give out stickers (see below) to let the parents know so they can prepare something. Bryson had it on his white shirt when he got home then when he changed his clothes he just stuck it to his chest. The next afternoon we went swimming. He came our with his swim trunks on and the sticker stuck to his chest. So a good 24 hours he had that sticker stuck to his bare chest. Needless to say when he took it off he took a layer of skin off with it. HaHa!

He did an awesome job on his talk!

July 4th

July 4th was enjoyed in the slightly cooler weather of Heber. It was nice to get away with our good friends the Winders.

Image

We watched the Parade not knowing what it was all about. If you have ever been there you know that the people watching and the people in the parade have a war going on. Water guns, super soakers, water balloons and so on were the weapons of choice. Not prepared or wanting to get wet I hid behind the beach umbrella most of the time. Thank goodness the Winders came prepared with that. Next time we attend the Heber Parade we will go prepared!!!

Super Heros!!! Hank, Bryson and Gavin were constantly playing something make believe. I love Austin and Ali in the background!! They did pretty good keeping up with the big kids.

On the way out of town we stopped at a creek so everyone could cool off. I know it is kinda backwards the kids played in the water with their clothes then changed into dry swimsuits for the ride home.

BTW...yes we feed our kids!!

Cousins Come to Visit

Our Utah and Northern Arizona cousins came for a visit. We were so excited to spend as much time as we could with them. They pretty much wore us, or at least me, out! It is always a fun time when the cousins come to town.

Grandma Wilson set the kids up with lots of paper crafts. This occupied the kids for hours.

Busy making beautiful creations.

One of the nights we had all the cousins sleep over at our house. Hannah and Emma LOVE Austin. (I think it is because he was named after their daddy and because he is super cute) They both wanted to sleep by him. So we stuck him in the middle of the two. They could not get enough of him...sometimes he was not so excited.

Holding Jaylee

Every Thursday I get to watch my neice, Jaylee. Austin has loved her since the very first day they met. She truely is one of the best babies ever. She seldom cries, never gets into anything, goes down for naps easy, and sleeps forever. So watching her is usually fun and not work. Austin would hold her all the time when she was really little.

So cute...my baby holding a baby.

.
This last week when she was here Austin asked to hold her. After just a few seconds he said "Oh my legs hurt." Jaylee baby is not such a baby anymore. She is actually one of the biggest 1 year olds I have ever seen.

We love the Jaylee Bear!!

What do you think?

My girlfriends and I came up with the most adorable front door signs for a few different holidays. I always get a ton of complements on how cute they are. Well a member of the Relief Society Pres. heard about them and asked me to do a midweek activity for our ward teaching people how to make a Happy Easter one. There was a huge response from the ladies in my ward. In the end I think I cut wood and got supplies for about 65 signs. It was a ton of work but it was also so much fun getting together to do some crafting. So here is the finished product...

Aren't they so cute!!!

They wore what?!?

A couple of weeks ago Jeff and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with a weekend away. So we had to make arrangements for the kids. On the second night (Saturday) my brother and sister in law came to stay at our house. I was not planning on the kids going to church so I didn't get their church clothes ready. Well Matt and Josefina decided they would take them to church anyway. When I heard this I knew they would not be able to find the church clothes. So I was kind of excited to see what they would dress the kids in. Well see for yourself...

Image

These outfits fit their personalities SO well. Gavin will wear just about anything you want him to, Austin is to young to care or know better and Bryson likes to look a little more put together. In fact Matt had a pair of shorts for Bryson to wear and he would have nothing to do with them. He insisted they did not match with his black socks and church shoes. So after a bit of a stand off Matt and Bryson worked together to find his church pants. Thank goodness!!!

Image

Austin's outfit just about had me on the ground I was laughing so hard. No, they are not shorts. They are 12 month pants. I don't know where they even found these to put on him. But he did not even care. I wish I had that confidence. :)

.

.

It is always funny to see what Jeff will dress the kids in when I am not around. But this took the cake on hilariousity!!!!

Famiy Triathalon

A few weeks ago Gavin's school had a triathalon. It consisted of running, biking, and walking. Sounded like fun so we thought we would give it a try.
Image
Jeff, Gavin, and Bryson did the whole run.
Image
I sacrificed the "whole" run to do a mini run with Austin. It was more like me walking fast and him running.

The boys coming off the run and Austin running out to greet them.

At the end.

MLK Day

For us the MLK holiday was a pretty fun day. We spent the day riding the light rail, climbing "A" mountain, and walking around downtown Phoenix. Jeff and Austin were home sick so my brother Matthew and his wife Josefina came with us.
