New York City

Monday morning we got on a plane and flew to the city. We were there Monday night, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning. On Monday we went to the Empire State Building. That was very interesting, although we couldn't see much at the top because it was cloudy.

If you can't see out of the Empire State, you have to be creative of what to take pictures of :)

Tuesday we went to see a submarine that was used in the cold war. Then we went to the 9/11 memorial, the Statue of Liberty, and the Enterprise space shuttle. The shuttle never went into space, but it was cool to see it. Later that night we went to see Wicked. I was so excited to finally put the music, that I always knew, with a story that I didn't know.

We ate some yummy food then went to see the Statue of Liberty and then headed back to see the space shuttle.

We like to sit and make funny faces at dad while we wait for the boat.
Mom likes to sit, I like to make funny faces. :)

It sure was a fun show.

Wednesday we went to Central Park. It is huge, so we didn't get to see the entire park, but what we saw was beautiful and I recognized a lot of it from different movies that were filmed there.

Probably my favorite spot in Central Park (that we were able to see)

The only reason my mom wanted to go to New York.
Balto. :)
Who would have thought she'd travel across the country to see a dog??
Good thing she's a first grade teacher.

I know I've seen this bridge in a movie somewhere, but I can't think of it...

Overall, New York is a beautiful place whether you're in the country or in the city. I loved every day that I spent in that state and I hope one day I will be able to return to a place that stole my heart. How's that for a cheesy ending? :)
