About Slippedisc
WELCOME TO SLIPPEDISC, THE WORLD’S MOST-READ CULTURAL WEBSITE
YOU HAVE JOINED A READERSHIP OF TWO MILLION VISITORS A MONTH
Who we are, what we do.
Slippedisc was founded on another site in 2007 by the author and broadcaster Norman Lebrecht with the aim of providing swift and reliable inside information on classical music and related arts.
In response to investor interest, SD went independent in May 2014 and upgraded again in January 2021. Slippedisc receives a constant flow of information from its users around the world. If something happens in music, you are likely to read it here first. We welcome readers’ comments and vigorous debate in the space below each item. The comments are moderated and sometimes redacted to provide a safe space for all visitors.

There are two options: subscription or donation.
Subscription will entitle you to receive a daily newsletter containing a summary of all Slippedisc stories. This service has been free. From now, we must request a small fee.
Subscription costs £59 a year, payable to our PayPal account. Benefits will also include occasional exclusive offers from our partners.
Donations are also warmly welcomed. To support our work with a gift, please click here. Gifts of more than $1,000 will be acknowledged with a rare collector’s item, despatched to your home address.
That’s it, folks. Enjoy.
