First day of Mother's Day Out

Okay... well these were taken the week before MDO. Thought we should "practice" before the real day. Sadly I didn't get any pics of the first day. I was more worried about me not boo hooing. ha.

Image
Big boy waving good-bye! So excited about his backpack and lunch bag.

Image
I guess this is how he thought he should get to school.

Image
Cason put "Mack" there to take a nap... just like he would.

Image
See it was EXACTLY the same... "BOO" under his head.

See ya later!

Cason's 3rd Birthday!

SOOOOO... this is super late but whatever. Here are some pictures from Cason's 3rd Bday party! We had a CARS theme... RED/BLACK everywhere. I didn't do a very good job of taking pics of decor or all the people there... but did get some cute ones of the Birthday boy! Hope you enjoy.

This is the video that was attached to Cason's B-day Evite invitation. The song is a version from Blue's Clues. If you need help with translation: "Happy Birthday Happy Birthday to ME ME ME! I am so excited (sounds like vitamin - haha) YOU are invited to MYYYY Birthday.. it's my birthday!"

Image
I had A LOT of help this year with preparing for the party. Here is my momma helping to decorate the cake and house the night before the party!

Image
Eric iced and decorated the cake... he did a great job!

Image
Cason with ALL the balloons!! He loved them.

Image
CUTE KID!!

Image
The final cake!! (my brother had some input as to where to put all the cars)
Turned out AWESOME!! Those cake makers will be used next year as well.

Image
Somehow the boys got to hang out with all the kids. HEHE.

Image
Cason blowing out the candles!!

Image
Cason was SO EXCITED about the chocolate cake that we just gave him a fork - and he DUG in!

Image
He ate and ate and ate....

ImageDon't judge... I LOVE that he loves this cake. Thanks to Dubbs recipe!

Image
Check out that dent he made. (he did not eat dinner in case you were wondering)

Image
The younger guests... Emma (Cason's friend in Corpus) and Seth (Cason's youngest cousin). I didn't do a very good job at getting the other cousins or a group picture this year. Oops!

Image
How he knew that this was a tractor I have no idea. But he would not keep his eye off it. Uncle Guero had to be very very slow to get it out of the box so we could make it thru the rest of the presents.

Family pic! It was a great day and we were so blessed by our family and friends who were able to come and celebrate our sweet kiddo!

Catch up

I'm trying to catch up a little... watch out!!

Check out all the recent posts:

Hopefully there will be more to come soon. :-)

VISITORS!!!

We had our first non-family visitors.... THE KACSMARYKS!!  Well, they were missing Matt, but Shelly, Avery and Reagan came to South Texas for some FUN!!  Here are a few pictures of our activities while they were here.  We really really enjoyed the company and had a great time.  It was much needed time spent with a WONDERFUL friend. Thanks for making the effort to come!

Image
We first started out at SEA WORLD!!  This picture was taken at the end of our time there.  This was the best pic we got.  Not sure how I got Cason to sit still and smile... he was really really tired.

 Image
We started off seeing Shamu!!
 Image

Getting a little loving from the trainer.
 Image

Then off to the Shark aquarium.  The kids had a blast here.  Not so sure they are supposed to be behind the bar, but whatever.

 Image

Loving the fishies.
 Image

Attempts at another pic... no go again.  Love that Avery is jumping... so funny!
 Image

Cute pic of the older kiddos taking a ride in the stroller.  Lucky for them.
 Imagef

Breakfast.... Avery was way more excited about her muffin than Cason was about his panckes... oh well.
 Image

Cason was nice enough to show Avery his "Jumping House".
 Image

They had a great time jumping...

and Jumping...

This is my FAVORITE picture of them.  They were really happy to be playing in the jumping house.

Cason being a gentleman opening the door.
Image

Cason got tired and decided to take a break.
 Image

Avery was still going strong.

Image

 HUG!!!

 Image

Tackle... watch out!  That hug got a little crazy.. haha.

 Image

Decorating the fruit pizza.  This is one of my favorite kiddo activities.   The kids end up eating the fruit... so you can't care about what all goes on the pizza.  haha
 Image

Reagan inspecting the work!! If he were standing up, I bet his hands would be behind his back.  haha  Cute kiddo.

 Image

Mary Poppins helped the kiddos go to bed every night.  They loved the movie.  After the Kacsmaryks left, the next morning Cason woke up asking for Avery and Reagan.   So sweet... he also loved spending time with his friends.

Wait... that's not all.  Check out the next post for our beach outing pictures.

Beach outing with the Kacsmaryks!!

We decided that we should try a beach outing while Shelly and the kiddos were in Corpus.  Little did we know that the waves would be CRAZY HUGE and the seaweed unruly.

Image

This is a pic of what we were up against.  Those people are really not that far out... usually its about waist level there.

Image

Cason checking out the ocean... he wanted NOTHING to do with.  Usually the kid LOVES the waves.  So he was happy just watching from afar and playing in the sand.

Image

Sweet Reagan didn't seem to care about anything... He LOVED playing in the water and sand.  There is no doubt this kid is ALL BOY!!
 Image

Such a cute smile from the little man... SO CUTE!!

Image

This is where Cason and Avery were happiest.  Eating goldfish, away from the water (and for Avery not touching the sand).
Sadly this was not the best beach experience.  Shelly and I were happy we made it for an ENTIRE HOUR.... haha.. Such light weights.

Playdate with the Johnsons

Cason and I took a little roadtrip to visit my college roomie, Sarah, who also just moved to south south Texas. :-) I HAD to meet her beautiful sweet daughter Claire and get Cason some playtime with the BOYS (Tyler and Cooper).  For the most part I didn't take any pictures... so sad.  It was way to crazy for pictures.   But I couldn't resist with this activity... made me laugh.

Image

The 3 boys playing "farm?"

 Image

Please notice how all the tractors are positioned.  Ringing any bells?  You got it " CARS".  Cason is obsessed with this movie and is always pointing out tractors and Mack when we drive anywhere.  He was in heaven here at the Johnsons with so many tractors and cars/trucks etc.

  Image

Cason has "Lightning Mcqueen" in the middle there.  Not sure why he is yellow, but he is.  He would take each tractor one by one and tip them over on their back wheels making the noise they do.  HAHA!  It was hilarious!!  He absolutely LOVES that movie and especially the tractor scene.

Tractors for Mother's day!!

Cason and I met my family in Concepcion for Mother's Day.  We surprised my 97 year old grandmother, Mama Grande.  She was very very happy and definitely surprised.  We had a great day with lots of yummy food.  But the best part, for Cason,  was the fact that they live on a ranch.  A ranch with A TON of TRACTORS!!!  The boy loves cars, trucks and tractors.  So he was in heaven.  Here are a few pics of the day.  Sadly no pictures of really anyone but the tractors and Cason.

Cason with jeans on and ready to hike around and see the tractors!!  (Spurs hat for Mama Grande)

Okay... so this is not a tractor. But we had to start somewhere.  We had to ride this glorified golf cart twice!

Image

This is some intense driving.  Watch out!

 Image

Uncle Guero helped Cason on all of the tractors.  Of course he would tell us the "official" names, but Cason and I just went by colors and pointing.

 Image
He knew just what to do and did it all by himself!

 Image

This kid was serious about driving the tractors.

 Image

He drove this one into the sunflowers... Oops!!

 Image

Look I can drive with one hand!

 Image

This is the tractor that Cason refused to actually ride with Cowboy Guero.  Guess he didn't like the noise... surprise surprise.

 Image

Despite the fact this one looks all rusty... It actually runs as well.  But there was no power steering so Cason didn't stay long.  ha ha

It took help from Uncle Guero and Aunt Jackie.  It was a tricky one.

 Image
Mommy and Cason.  (although I was cringing getting on this tractor...  I'm such a girl these days?)

 Image

A mother's nightmare with a clean white shirt.  Cason is no longer afraid of getting dirty, although momma is hating it.  haha  Love those boys!
