Saturday I went to Utah to my sisters baby shower and I got in trouble from my mother and sisters for not updating my blog. It makes me feel good that someone is actually cares. The sad thing is its not to exciting. ok a little. Last weekend we took the boys over to the house and cleaned for the day before insulation came on Monday. So heating, electric, and plumbing are in and done for the moment.

Our giant pile of sawdust!

And insulation finished up on Tuesday. We paid a little extra for some insulation that reed saw at the Builders Conference last summer but really I don't think that is something you want to skimp on when you live in Antarctica (feels like) Hopefully it is as good as they say and my bills will show it.

They spray just a little bit into the walls and before your eyes it expands and fills the wall. It was pretty cool to watch. They fill every other stud and then shave it off so its smooth then go back and fill the others.

Ya they are in there with masks and all and we just stood in there and watched...only for a second.

Finished product, hopefully a warm house with no drafts, a lower heating bill, and I wouldn't mind a little less dust. Also the sheet rock finished this weekend and for some reason I didn't get some pics but will have to tomorrow.

Here are a couple things we found to stay busy. I saw this idea at family fun magazine last year and always wanted to try it. Instead on measuring and sewing material together I just went to walmart and got a cheap king size sheet to use. Which is perfect for a house, hut, restraunt, doctors office, castle, fort, the list could go on and on!

I got the scissors out and cut a couple doors and windows then we got out the markers and crayons and they could draw or color whatever they want on it. The best part is you fold it up and use it again or they can color and add more to it again and again.

It was also a big it at play group!

Jen gave me a good idea to have a scavenger hunt so I made these little sticky notes and put them all over. Some were things you had to do and some things you had to find by the end they were dressed, there room was clean with bed made, teeth brushed, and there shoes were on. who knew that chores could be so fun.

The last note mom took them to get a treat and I gave them clues to what it was....Cold Stone Ice Cream! Yum but no pics

Playing games is great at passing time and the boys love this new one. Uno Attack! Lots of fun.

Finally they started swim lessons which they love!

They did pretty good for beginners but they expect a LOT to pass level one so they might be in it a couple of times. That is ok with me as long as they can survive in water!
So there you have it! Sorry I will try to be better :)
