8 months

Can't believe another month has gone by, this little man is growing up way too fast!

Image

Last time he was weighed he was 19 pounds and 30 inches long.

He is sooo close to crawling! Just has to figure out how to move forward!

Image

He is eating anything and everything! He loves his little puffs, probably because he knows how to pick them up and put them in his mouth all by himself.

Image

He loves pulling on Bella's tail and playing with her.

He loves to bounce! He has just about outgrown his bouncer but I think one day he is going to be our trampoline kid!

He is an awesome cuddler and loves to be held when he sleeps. (Which is fun sometimes, but my housecleaning suffers because of it!)

One day he will master sleeping through the night, but unfortunately we haven't made it yet!

Here's to another month little man, we love you!

San Diego!

We took an awesome one week vacation the second week of May to San Diego. Garrison was such a good boy, not sure that he got into anything we were doing, but he seemed to enjoy his vacation too!

We got there on Saturday (even survived the fact that it took til Yuma to realize i hadnt brought any of my diabetic supplies.. luckily we figured that out fast!) we actually stayed in Poway, CA which is about 20 minutes outside San Diego. It ended up being nice to escape the city at night when we were done playing.

We went to the Padres/ Diamondbacks baseball game on Sunday. It was cold when we got there so I thought we were going to be miserable the whole time but it warmed up and the cloud cover ended up being very nice!

Monday we hit up the Mormon Battalion Museum which was awesome! I'm so glad we found it and had the chance to sit through the presentation. It is right in downtown San Diego so we ended up walking around all the cool shops!

Tuesday and Wednesday we went to Sea World! We decided to split the park into two days. I absolutely loved it! It was actually my first time seeing a whale, and it definitely didnt disappoint! Shamu just had a baby in February, and the little whale was part of the show( I love baby animals!) we got to see dolphins, beluga whales, a walrus, turtles, fish, and sharks. So fun!

Friday we went to the San Diego Zoo Safari  Park.. It was fun to see more animals. We got to see a Cheetah run which was really neat.. 0-60 in 3 seconds! Those suckers are fast!

Saturday we went to the bay and toured the USS Midway. Such a cool piece of American history! Jaron said it made him feel old that a ship that was used in his lifetime is now a museum! The planes were awesome, we ate that up for sure! I was wishing my dad was there with me, he would have loved it!

We also took a little trip to the beach that day so Garrison could see the ocean for the first time. The ocean is always such an experience to me. It reminds me how amazing our Heavenly Father truly is and reminds me how small I am in the spectrum of things. So glad Garrison got to see it, we will take him back one day when he will remember.

St. John's trip!

Over General Conference weekend we decided to head up to St. John's to spend time with my parents! (Plus they were missing the baby pretty bad!)

We got up there late Friday night and then slept in Saturday and watched conference . We played at the park cause it was SO nice outside, and it's also right across the street from my parents now!

Saturday night my mom watched Garrison while I took Jaron on a date to Java Blues in Springerville (really good!).

Sunday we finished Conference, took Jaron on a historical tour of St. John's (per his request), roasted some marshmallows in the fire pit out back and then headed home Monday morning early.

Sure was fun and relaxing! Thanks for spoiling us Mom and Dad!

Easter 2013

We had a pretty low key Easter this year.. Kelsey was able to come over and spend the night on Saturday! We woke up Sunday to Easter baskets- The Easter Bunny even delivered some flip flops to Kels!

We went to church and came home and had a nice Easter dinner of Ham and potatoes.

I am so grateful for our Savior's sacrifice so that we could have so much more than this life. I am extremely grateful that I will be with my family forever!

RIP Mac!

On Sunday, I came home from church and our front door was open (we put some new weather stripping on the door that makes it hard to close and stay closed). I knew the dogs had gotten out since they always seem to want to run out the door. My heart just sank..

Kelsey was over and so we searched the whole neighborhood and drove all over. I found a sign that said someone had found a small white dog and went running to the house to call. Kels had Bella in her arms and said she heard her bark at the neighbors house and they had come
Out and given her to kels. They also said they had tried to catch Mac but couldn't.

We kept looking for Mac until dark, and then I decided to make some signs to hang around the neighborhood.

This morning I got a call while I was at work from a man that lives in our same neighborhood.. He saw Mac run into the street and actually drove into the middle of the road and got out and began yelling at people to stop in an effort to stop poor little Mac from getting hit. Unfortunately there was a car that wouldn't or couldn't stop and Mac got hit.

I am grateful for this friendly neighbor that so willingly tried to save a dog that he didn't even know had am owner and then scooped him up and put him on the side of the road so animal control could take him. The man said he was getting choked up even thinking about it and having to tell me. He told me how sorry he was that he couldn't save him.

As silly as this may seem, since it was just a dog.. Mac was a member of our family and it impressed me that there are still good people in the world that are willing to help others even at their own expense. Thank you again neighbor for giving us the closure of knowing what happened to our little Mackie Mac! Rest in peace little dude! We all miss ya!
