Count your Blessings

For some reason these are the only photos I got from Thanksgiving, probably because we were too busy having a grand time on the slopes. We decided to get a little pre-feast work out skiing! I would love to make this  a new tradition although our dinner plans might not always allow us to do this we were truly grateful to be skiing this year! We had a wonderful dinner with my family after a beautiful day at Solitude. We bought ski passes this year so will be spending a good portion of our winter at Solitude! Hooray! Oh and we made these cute turkey crafts at my parents following yet another wonderful meal from my mom and siblings! I am so blessed and count each one of those blessings on Thanksgiving and everyday.

New Snow and New Green Coat

The first snow is magical and we kept waiting for our snowman to come to life and say "Happy Birthday"! Maybe he came to life at night. I really love playing in the snow with my kids and can't wait to ski with all three of them this season in my new green coat.

Fall to Winter in One Day

While the kids were on track break we took a quick trip to Park City for the week! It was near 70 degrees and we took advantage of this weather by swimming at the pool, riding bikes, shopping and playing at the bike and skate parks. Miles is fearless on a skateboard and bike. But I am a little scared. I even snuck in a date with the hubby while grandma babysat. Stella was thrilled to have her cousin Briella with her for their own little girls trip. I was glad to have my mom there for those days that Spencer was down at the Pharm (pharmacy). The kids loved spending hours at the big white barn.  It was such a fun relaxing trip. And finally on the last day it went from fall to winter in a matter of hours. But that did not stop us from taking a warm dip on a cool day. Such a great way to end a fun trip.

Thinking Inside the Box

I was in charge of the Halloween ward party this year. One of the many benefits of being an auxiliary leader. It was a very fun "Master of Disguise" party complete with a cake walk, games, movie, photo op and some tired ladies! We also had a great Halloween around the neigborhood. It was unseasonably warm and Spencer decided to get all decked out in hair. I love our little village on Halloween, it is very storybook like. Stella was a spooky old fashioned ghost (not a bride), Bright a cute dragon, and Miles a skateboarding robot. Miles came up with that on his own. Thinking inside the box!Image

We had so much fun at Cornbellys the first time we decided to bounce back a second time for the big pumpkin drop! They dropped those babies from several hundred feet and they were full of candy. It was really cool and the kids were thrilled with the smashing pumpkins!
