Brenna loves her Daddy to get her ready for church.
The past two weeks we have been blessed with a lot of rain. Hooray!
The boys have had a lot of awesome rain water wars!
I rarely make brownies,
but the kids and I made them twice in the past two weeks because we asked some friends for favors and wanted to say thanks. Tasty.
Getting ready for Ryan's big 12 year old birthday included a few shopping trips just the two of us.
He can make anything more fun.
We'll call him Alfred McGregor, or Professor. ;)
Since he will be an official, "Young Man" we bought him a new suit for his birthday to pass the sacrament in.
Watching him grow up is surreal and exciting too.
Fun times at school!
Brenna and Nora the darling, sweet little...
wrestlers!
Fixed fence!
We were grateful to get in last minute before their schedule was booked for three weeks because of the storm.
And fixed gate too!
Cute new bulletin for the new theme.
We had Personal Progress Power activity about using AGENCY. The girls went looking for things around the building, just flipping a coin to go right or left at every fork in their path. The wandered around for a while...when they got back they were told there was a treasure hidden in the building. They could look for it by flipping a coin or take along a "guide" (one of the leaders, with a sign on listing all the things we can have as spiritual guides as we make choices) who knew where the treasure was. Fun activity!
Normal weekly things, Allison to play and Gymnastics lessons.
I started taking a personal development class by a popular LDS life coach out here.
Love it, very powerful tools and a terrific teacher.
Brenna was excited about her new strawberry shortcake jammies!
Love her smile, it lights up the world.
Box robots!
Brenna was excited that she is the exact same length as the stairs. :)
Grateful these two are in a good bedtime routine in their new bunks!
It has made life much smoother around here.
One afternoon, everyone had a friend over except Sterling.
He wanted something fun...
painting on canvas filled the void for him.
Ellie's sweet old Young Women's leader had her and a few other girls over and get gel nails.
Cute! (They are sparkly...kind of hard to see in the picture)
Gel Nails at Val's!
Rob and I loved a few great dates.
Ring shopping...trying to get my wedding ring repaired,
and a new favorite Thai Restaurant,
Thai Basil.
Seriously amazing food!
We also had a nice evening walking and talking under the stars at Sunset Park.
Love these people I get to live life with everyday.
Rain stopped long enough for an afternoon of kite flying!
We had our wonderful Korean friends and Rob's work colleague,
Nam and Soomi Lee over for games and it was a great time.
I love the Korean custom of bringing a dessert or gift every time they are invited over.
They brought a gorgeous strawberry cake that we all shared, seriously so sweet!
I would like that to be a Soulier family custom too.
Not great pics, but they have the cutest kids, Ayden and Chloe.
Last week of Lapbooks before spring break!
Loving Sisters.
Trevor had a cool Scout field trip and hike at Maidu Park.
What?
Brenna has come out of her separation anxiety phase and is loving
Sunbeams, Preschool twice a week and gymnastics.
It has been a learning season for her, and it is wonderful to have her feeling empowered, confident, and happy about her opportunities to learn.
I made an "I can" book with her that she loves and we read often.
It's been a sweet thing to watch her learn to feel brave.
Brenna's Tumble Bunny Show!
Brenna the Bunny. Has a ring to it.
Making a Leprechaun Trap for St. Patrick's Day has been a fun, creative family tradition.
This year they enticed the green, little man with good smelling green gum at the end of a rainbow. There was a trap door with a cup underneath and a pully with a cup so he couldn't climb out after he was captured...hoping for a wish this year!
Lets see if we caught that sneaky trickster...
almost!
He did have some fun around the house, putting mustaches on the kids' pictures and turning the milk green...hee hee.
Happy St. Patrick's Day from Brenna!
(She was scared of the idea of the leprechaun until she learned he was bringing her a treat.)
The kids had fun wearing green to school, Trevor and his friend, Connor, had matching shirts. Dude!
Ryan wore this hat to school all day.
Lookin' good, me laddy.
With all the rain it was the perfect time for Sterling to track the weather with his rain gauge!
He had fun making it in class and checking it daily to see how much it rained overnight.
Two inches one day!
Ryan made a quill from his friend's chicken feather.
I caught some pictures of our nurturing, sweet little Mommy doing her daily reading and rocking of her babies. I love how naturally caring and thoughtful Brenna is.
Little Mommy.
She also made the family a picnic in the backyard
Friday night when Ryan and Rob went camping with the scouts.
Saturday errands took us to home depot to get paint for Ellie's room painting project over spring break. Watch out, minors at the wheel! No really, watch out! Trevor's pushing this thing and letting go every five seconds to see how far it can go on its own before crashing into something or someone. Your hamstrings are probably glad they weren't at Home Depot on Saturday. Mine are mad at me.
We then headed over to Cover to Cover books and were the first in line at the book signing for, "Secrets of the King's Daughter" a new release from Covenant Communications and written by Ranae Mackley who is in our ward!
My kids' call her "my aunt's aunt" since she is also Rob's brother's wife's aunt.
We're excited to read her book!
We also watched our friends in the play
SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK, JR.
They did a great job, the songs are still stuck in everyone's head.
