Another funny story...
Alesia bought herself some new jeans this summer, nothing special, just your ordinary pair of brand spanking new jeans. Well, she wore them to the Clement reunion in July. After we got to camp and goit everything all set up, Alesia grabbed her skateboard and headed for the loop. Both of her Grandma's and I were sittign in the trailer watching her go like gang busters round and round the loop. Both grandma's were commenting they wished they had her energy, when all the sudden she kissed the pavement. She did a whammy on her elbow, her pelvic bone, and her knee... putting a rip in her BRAND NEW jeans. She couldn't stand the thought of her jeans being ruined, so she transformed them into the fashion statment you see below. Very clever don't you think?

I almost forgot to blog this!
In July, Nick got his permit. Right away, we got him out driving in the Tahoe. He was doing pretty good his first Sunday driving to and from church. Well, as he was pulling into the driveway, he got too close to the Geo and the mirror scratched the front panel of the Tahoe. Lucky for him, the mirror had already come off once and glued back on, so it gave very nicely and we didn't have any more damage.

Nick was kind of scared when it happened, waiting for my reaction. And you know what? I laughed! I thought it was hilarious! I turned to him and smiled, and calmly said "Next time you hit something and hear a scraping sound... stop as soon as you hear it." That was it, no yelling or screaming. To this day, he refuses to drive the Tahoe, he said it is way too big for him. I guess if I were 17, I'd rather drive a sporty little car than a Tahoe too.

Our new ride...
The 1995 Geo Prism that we have had for the last 10 years was dying a slow and painful death. We wanted to get rid of it before it was broken forever, so we put a sign on it in front of our house, and Voila! We found that there was a loving home willing to give our poor car some TLC. We were able to get this 2006 Saturn Ion for a GREAT deal. We are so thankful for our new car! May it be as great to us as our last car was.

September 19th - The Princess Ball
Deer Valley Stake has a Princess Ball every year for the girls 18-months to 11-years. Kenzie has a blast getting ready for it, we make it very special for her. A new dress, paint the nails, a fancy hair-do, and even a little bit of make up. The Ativity Day Girls made corsages for everyone in the ward that was going for one of their activities. Her favorite part is a date with her Prince Charming, her Daddy.

Here she is pretending she is a model. Kenzie has always LOVED gettign her picture taken.

Funny story...
I was working from home one day, plugging along trying to be productive. Then all of the sudden, my foot petal was not working so well. I thought oh no, I don't want to have to go pick up another foot petal! I looked down to see why the silly thing wasn't working right, and no wonder! Chewy decided it made a nice pillow. I woke him up and made him move, and wouldn't you know it, the foot petal was fine.
Silly boy!
