Some of my favorite quotes by AAYLA
This little girl has come a long way on her speech and vocabulary! She didn't even start saying words til she was about 20 months. For those who know her, remember her broken up speech?? She'd pause after each word to think about the next. It was so funny! Now she just says the funniest things! People keep telling me I need to write them down, so here it goes... (You might appreciate the funniness if you know her and how she talks, like can't say her R's and enunciates certain words.)
I noticed she had marker all over her shirt and hands one day. She has had problems coloring marker on herself before. So I asked her if she had colored on her shirt and hands. Her response....
"No. I did not color on me. I was coloring with the marker and then the marker just wooshed and my shirt and then it wooshed on my hands!"
I'm watching her one day try to put on some pants and struggle a little bit when I hear her say to herself, "damn!" uuuuh, What did you say Aayla?
"Well, I just keep trying to put my pants. And dat is why I say damn!!"
This one is during one of her prayers. These are usually good.
"Thank you we can not listen to Satan and that Satan is in hell (pronounced hale) and he will never come out!"
Another prayer...
"Thank you I am so sick and that is so sad."
One night I was scratching her back and she pulls her panties down and says...
"Mom, my stinky bum itches too."
After she brushed her teeth she wanted me to smell her breath...
"It smells like toothpaste, NOT toothbrush!"
This one was fun...I was sitting with Aayla during primary the sharing time part. At a pretty quiet part she leans to me and says.....(not quiet by the way)
"Mom, I scratched my bum over my panties, and my fingers do not stink!!!"
Yesterday actually she asked me...
"Mom can I have some river crackers?"
I asked what are river crackers?? Ellery chimes in, "You know the crackers that look like waves." Oh. Wheatables!! Never heard them called river crackers before.
We are eating in IHOP back when it was Ellery's birthday and Aayla needs to go potty. So Ellery took her and then left. I minute later we hear Aayla YELLING from the bathroom, and we could hear her from across the restaurant....
"I NEED TOILET PAPER....I NEED TOILET PAPER!"
Aayla is crying because she wants to watch a show. I keep telling her it is lunch time, so through her sobs she gets out,
"I just want to skip lunch today!"
She is always making us laugh!!! Here are some of my favorite pictures of her....

Creative Girls
My girls drew me pictures the other day. Pretty much Ellery drew one and Aayla drew her own, copying Ellery's. I thought they were pretty cute. I especially liked looking at Aayla's and seeing how she copied her sisters. Ellery drew a picture of an orange tree with a nest of baby birds and the mom bird is flying in with worms to feed them. She added hearts, a green kitty and a purple cloud. You can see Aayla's oranges on her tree and purple cloud, then she just made designs everywhere! So cute! Also, note the dirt and grass on both pictures!!!
Ellery has been really creative lately. She keeps making these things and I just think, "wow, where did you come up with that?" I was sleeping after a night shift one day and told Ellery to go make something with a empty toilet paper roll to keep her occupied for a bit. This is what she came up with. Seriously! I couldn't have come up with this. It's a coconut tree with a monkey holding a banana. But don't worry he found it on the ground cause bananas don't grow on coconut trees! She even has grass on the ground and lots of leaves coming out of the top of the tube!!!

Picnic in the backyard
My girls crack me up. Today I told them we could have a picnic in our backyard. I gave them a blanket to lay out in the grass while I made the food. When I went out with lunch they had spread the blanket out and then put a rock on each corner to keep it held down. I chuckled inside. I love them.

WE ARE BACK!!
After almost a year off from blogging, we are finally back!! I'm not an everyday blogger because life is busy, but I'm officially starting up again. So here we go. Here is a highlight of our lives the last few months!
After years of school, Jacob graduated with his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy! Yay, I couldn't be more proud of him and his hard work toward this. He recently started working as a PT doing home health and really loves it.
In January Jacob and I took a trip by ourselves! We took a Disney Cruise to Key West, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. It was a blast!
In February we took a quick trip to Disneyland and then to Arizona to be sealed!!

The end of March, we got 2 grey sister kitties! The girls are in love with them and won't leave them alone most of the time. Ellery named her kitty Westside and Aayla named hers Cupcake.
Ellery turned 6 at the beginning of April!! Yay, she is so big and smart! We started the day with breakfast at IHOP with Grandma and Grandpa. Then went to the BYU dinosaur museum. That night we had kitty cupcakes! I also chopped my hair. Mostly because it was getting so damaged, but I think I'll keep it short for a little while.

Cute girls in the pool!
Ellery was quite scared of the water at first, but then got used to it and swam and swam.
Ellery and Enok are so cute. This is just before the reception.
I think these girls love each other, even though they usually don't act like it :)
Crazy sibling picture. Typical Jacob.
The new couple with nephews and nieces.
Aayla and her daddy at the reception.
Ellery about to hit the pinata.
Aayla hitting the pinata.
All the kids getting the pinata candy. Ellery threw her head back and laughed a huge laugh. It was super funny!
