Baptisms For The Dead

Our youth shared another meaningful time together for Baptisms for the dead. The spirit was strong and the youth continued to solidify their friendships. Thank you to our youth and leaders for making this great event happen. 

Girl's Camp 2013

Theme: "Stand in Holy Places"

This year we were able to combine camp with the Riverside Ward Leaders and girls as well. This is a really special time of year for these girls to bond as a group of strong Young Women in friendship and teamwork. We have amazing individual Young Women and together they bring a wonderful positive uplifting energy into play. With that said, camp was bound to be a success. Sierra Williams gave a great talk the following Sunday on the experiences at camp that were both spiritual and fun.

Special thanks to our ward Camp Director Darcey Williams and our Assistant Camp Director Cindy Watkins, their talents really shine this time of year. Also thanks to the Lunts for providing the shelter, Priesthood volunteers, Bishopric, and to all of the Leaders and girls.

Dutch Oven Activity

Our Young Women are getting ready for Girls Camp. What better way to prep than learn how to cook dutch oven style! The girls are looking forward to camp!

Walk To The Temple

Our Young Women and Young Men met for our highly anticipated Walk To The Temple activity. All leaders and all youth were prepped and geared and ready for this long walk over 9 miles. It was a metaphorical journey where the walk would be long, it would be difficult, it would possibly bring doubt, fear, or worry to each individual, but waiting at the Temple finish line were their families to greet them and welcome them into their arms. This was a wonderful spiritual journey for our youth and leaders to embark upon together, as well as a great opportunity to learn about Temple blessings.

Thank you to those leaders and youth who were able to attend/help. We greatly missed those who were unable to be there.
