nose! Pobrecita! Between 15 - 18 months our kids like to meet the sidewalk up close and personal. See K's flash from the past below.

18 month checkup

CB finally had her 18 mo checkup after all the cancellations due to snow/ice and sickness on our part. Here are the stats:

Weight: 25lbs 1.5oz(50-75%)

Height: 33.25in (90%)

And of course must do the comparison to Kaitlin at 18mo:

Weight: 29lbs (95%)
Height: 35 3/4 in (>97%)

Bye bye passy (sung in the bye bye song melody)

Day 2 of no passy and no issues thus far. Yesterday I noticed that she had chewed one of them so much that the tip was almost coming off, so I just went ahead and cut it off and gave it back to her at bedtime. She was quite confused and kept bringing it to me with a puzzled look on her face and sticking her finger through it. She would then walk over to where we used to keep all of them and point and ask "passy." And I told her "They're all gone, you just have that broken one. You're a big girl now, you don't need a passy." Bedtime went fine, no extra crying or anything but a LOT of extra talking. Like 20 minutes of LOUD talking. Not crying, just talking. I guess she spends more time in there awake than I thought, now that she doesn't have something plugging her pie hole we will hear about it! Same thing tonight, lots of singing and talking and then out. Johanna said she had a little bit of a hard time at nap today, but eventually went down and slept for 2 hours. So I guess we're done. :-( Kind of bittersweet, my sweet baby is growing up!
