It seems like with a two year who's almost three we never have the time to do anything, let alone blog. Yet I see all these great mother's who blog, have a perfect house, and all around just seem perfect. I'm just lucky to have a clean house. Some one needs to let me know how they get everything done. Yep, I'm the mother with food in her hair and have toys in every nook and cranny. So, here is my blog. I don't have pics, but at least I'm updating my friends and family. We've been good! We now live in Arvada, Colorado for those who didn't know. We are enjoying it here and Owen absolutely loves to live near his Grandpa Kerschen a.k.a "Papa". All we ever hear from Owen is I want my papa (Grandpa). The rest of us are truly chopped liver compared to Grandpa, but it is so special to see such a wonderful bond between the two of them.
I continue to work at Good Samaritan Hospital and Scott is dedicated to his schooling at Devry University. So it's not often where our nights aren't filled with Scott screaming at the fact he has to do homework or Owen screaming because he can't have more cake. At any rate just wanted to let everyone who cared know that we are doing well and are continuing on our life journey. May God bless you all.

The yearly update (here's hoping for consistency this year)

It's a month into a new year and it's been the best it can be. I'm still looking for work after being laid off from my last job in November. Being laid off seems very commonplace for too many families now a days, but we're hangin in there and i'm sure Sarah likes having split diaper duty during the day.
Sarah has since started going to school at night to become a dental assistant in order to do something she's passionate about, teeth, instead of retail. Owen and Daddy are very proud of mommy and kinda like the guy time to be able to watch the Jazz games at night without any female interruption.
And now for the only one anyone cares to hear about, Owen, oh Owen. Our toes are quite sore from him keeping us constantly on them. A few days ago he climbed out of his crib after nap time and Sarah and I from downstairs heard some splashing in the bathroom. Upon walking up the stairs and peering into the bathroom Sarah found our little bundle of joy peering out of the ceramic bowl commonly known as a the toilet. After which Daddy was so kindly told he was on bath duty. Other than that Owen is a normal little boy interested in getting into everything but his toys. We took him to the doctor this month and at 16 1/2 months old he was already 34 inches tall and weighed 26 lbs if my memory serves me correctly.
We'll close out by including some pics from the last year of action.

We found Victorias Secret for mommy's birthday.

Mommy's little decorating assistant.

This is what I made in Nursery today, ( it says Son of a King)
Hope you enjoy all the pics, until next month.

The first official Wimmer family post

So the Wimmer family has finally decided to enter the world of bloggers, this is a first for us so we may take a while to get good and creative but we'll do our best. We find it very important to share with the people we love, the experiences we are having at this juncture in our lives with the birth of our beautiful baby boy. Yes, I said beautiful because he is. Coming from a man that never thought he would ever say with any frequency the words cute or beautiful, I have broken. Sarah and I couldn't be more happy with the awesome gift that God has blessed us with, in our son Owen, although trying at times he is the North star in our sky.
Sarah currently is enjoying being a stay at home Mom and you better believe she stays plenty busy with taking care of any offspring of mine. He is growing faster than his mother can keep up with, but she does a great job with exercising patience when he decides he wants to eat on the hour. Everyone that knows Sarah knows that she is very sweet to everyone and lacks the ability to say "NO" to anyone except me. Sarah is proving to be exactly the mother I knew she would be, very caring and nurturing to my son, as is very important for a future NBA star.I am still working for the same company I've been working at for the past few years Toptenreviews/Hermanstreet if you'd like to see what we're all about (www.toptenreviews.com) is the address. I am what I like to call the utility guy for them I do a little bit of everything between selling software on Amazon and for those of you who know what Price Grabber is I also do reporting for our Pricegrabber clicks and revenue. As a Dad I couldn't be happier with the experience, my son and wife are my #1. Sarah and I have found ourselves constantly smiling at the little things he does.
Owen, well, he's constant, he eats, he sleeps (however not enough), and he poops. All the things babies do well. He is developing into a little cute version of me, blondish hair, blue eyes, dimples, and growing by the inches. However luckily enough he was blessed with his mothers long fingers and toes. He also has got one heck of a smile that will break the hearts of many.
We'll end by posting a few of our favorite pics of the first few months of Parenthood. And wish you all a Merry Little Christmas, and a Happy Holiday Season.
