So...being that it took me over a year to add my second post, I guess you could say I stink at this blogging stuff. Cute Kacy (who is SUCH a procrastinator for only updating her blog 6 times this week-what would Jason do with me??) and my long lost friend Jaime (who I keep tabs on by reading her blog) motivate me to give it another go! Plus I am in the middle of home remodeling so this gives me yet another reason to procrastinate. (I think my kids are beginning to enjoy the squalor they call home upstairs--atleast I am not constantly nagging them to clean their rooms since it is a complete disaster anyway.)
OK, so here is our big project. I was tearing off the already torn wallpaper in the boys room just ot clean it up and suddenly (hmmm...after 5+ years I "suddenly"...the week before school starts...) get really worried about lead-based paint. So, I disrupt our already so peaceful (ha-ha) lives to rip off all of the wallpaper to "quickly" repaint, yeah-that wasn't going to happen as the texture stopped where the wallpaper started and pretty much, the wallpaper wasn't coming off anyway, so...beadboard seemed the obvious solution. That should be a piece of cake, right?? Let's just say it is lucky I have talented (and very kind) friends. The Bediers saved me and pretty much put up the beadboard! They are AWESOME! So, here is the before... (well, look above-still learning how to move stuff around and I'm too tired right now!)
I will send the after pics if I ever get my butt out of this chair and upstairs to finish caulking and painting-ugh!!)
