Jellypark New Release and Challenge - Old & New

This is my final week as guest designer for the Jellypark Friends challenge .  I have had so much fun creating this month with Claire's sweet digital images.  If you aren't familiar with her designs, be sure to hop over and check the shop HERE . Jellypark has two new digital images this week for the teenager in your life: This week's challenge is to use things both old and new on our project.  What could be newer than using one of the newly released images? The "old" for my project is the button and papers.  I have had two cards of buttons in my stash for awhile that I found at a garage sale.  This button seemed to coordinate perfectly with the papers from an Authentique paper pad I picked up at Hobby Lobby earlier this year.  I also used an MFT die-namic for the music notes.  The "Tween Girl" was colored with Copic Markers.  The colors are actually various shades of pink.  Unfortunately, my camera decided to make the car...

Unity Friends with Flair

Every Friday Angela hosts a linky party to share our Unity projects -  Friends with Flair .  She picks two random winners - one from the blog hop comments and another who participates.  How fun is that?! I recently took advantage of one of the Unity sales and splurged with several of the Phyllis Harris stamp sets.  Earlier this week I stamped this adorable image from "Face the Sunshine" on water color paper and colored with Tim Holtz distress reinkers. Here's a close up of the colored image.  I am so "in love" with these sweet images!  I left off a sentiment so that I could grab this sweet card for any occasion. Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  Hope you have a great Friday!

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #105

I missed sharing with the nosey , I mean Sassy, ladies last week!!  Somehow the week got away from me.  Cheryl has given us two weeks to share this time around.  That gave me a little more time this week to find something to share.  :-) Today we have gotten a fresh snowfall which is perfect for cross-country skiing with our pups.  Thankfully, that also means that our weather has warmed up!  We've seen several weeks of sub zero temperatures in Anchorage.  I thought I would share a few photos from our trip today: Me, Bud and Gingersnap on the ski trail   Several of the trails are designated for mushers only.  Only in Alaska!    I thought this shot was pretty of the frozen creek where we ski.  Not terrific photography, but you get the general idea!  The first photo was taken with DH's iPhone.  The others with an older Olympus.  I would like to go back another day with my new camera....

Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge and New Release

Happy Friday everyone!  This week we have three new Sweet 'n Sassy digital images to share with you.  Our challenge this week is to use your favorite color combination.  The challenge will run for 2 weeks to give the design team time to spend with their families.  We will be back in the New Year on January 4, 2013 with a new challenge.   I was so excited when I got these new images from Korin.  It was so much fun playing with this month's new release images.  They are super adorable and great for the holidays.  They are available for purchase at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digital Stamp shop right now! Winter Wishes $2.00 Bundled Autumn $3.00 Bundled Ava $3.00  I used " Bundled Autumn " and the " Winter Wishes " sentiment set for my card: The image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  The sentiment was printed from the "Winter Wishes" sentiment set and die cut with Spellbinder nestibilities.  The desig...

Jellypark Challenge - Tag It!

I'm so excited to be a guest designer for Jellypark Friends this month!  Claire has such adorable whimsical digital images.  I am really honored to be able to share and play along with the design team this month. This week's challenge is to create a tag or a project with a tag on it.  I have combined both of the new Jellypark release images for my project - A Tag and a Flower Shop.  The flower shop digi was colored with copic markers, fussy cut and layered with dimension tape on the new tag with ribbon image.  I have paper pieced the ribbon and applied dimension paint for the tag.  The papers are from the MME Dolled up paper stack. Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  Be sure to stop by the Jellypark Friends challenge blog to see the design team inspiration.  This also qualifies for this week's Catered Crop Challenge to use tags.

Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge #84 - Tag You're It!

It's finally Friday and that means it's time for a new Sweet 'n Sassy Digi challenge!  Our challenge this week is to create a tag or use a tag on your project.  This was a tough challenge for me, but I printed out two fun Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Stamp sets and had a lot of fun. I used the pre-colored version of " Eskimo Kisses " and all three sentiments from " Eskimo Kisses Sentiments " digi stamp sets.  I added liquid applique to the main image for some dimension.  I created pockets with two of the card panels so that I could tuck little message tags into the card front.  The tags were created using the Museum Tag die from Memory Box.  The tags were also dry embossed using Cuttlebug snowflake and swissdot emboss folders.  I finished the square panels with machine stitching and a couple of pearls. This close up shows one of the tags partially tucked into a pocket.  Also, you can see how nicely the pre-colored image prints.  This feature...

Sassy Cheryl's Digi Challenge #144

This week's Sassy Cheryl Digi Stamps Challenge is "Dreaming of a White Christmas". I decided to play with my Cricut this afternoon and cut various snowflakes from their Winter Lace cartridge.  I applied Stampin' Up!  Heat & Stick powder to the snowflakes, applied heat with my heat gun until they were sticky, then sprinkled on Stampin' Up! Stampin' Glitter. Below are a couple of photos showing the the snowflakes: The snowflakes were applied to a white embossed panel and die cut with Spellbinder Labels 17 to get the panel in my finished card.  I printed Cheryl's "Simple Snowman Block" digital image and colored it with Copic Markers.  I applied Polar White Flower Soft to the birdhouse and carrot nose.  You can pick up this sweet winter image for .50 right now in Cheryl's Shop . Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  This is also my submission for this week's "Show Me" Challenge on Cheryl's " Sh...

You can take a peek at the inspiration board on the CYDI Blog and join us for your chance at the next $10 Can You Digi It? Jellypark Friends Challenge

This week's Jellypark Friends challenge is "Stars are Shining Brightly".  I had so much fun with this little Monster image from Jellypark.  Claire's characters have such a whimsical style.  This image was one of the Jellypark November Member freebies.  Of course, I couldn't resist using one of my favorite color combos - orange, green and yellow! I have also used this week's My Favorite Things sketch: Thanks for taking a closer look!

There She Goes Inspiration Challenge

Good morning!  I am back this morning with a quick post for this week's There She Goes Inspiration Challenge .  This week, Candace provided the following inspiration photo: I chose to focus on the colors provided in the photo - green, pink and white.  I needed a break from creating Winter themed cards so I chose to use Chris Dark's set " In All the World " for my card. This sweet scene was colored with Copic Markers.  The designer papers are from Basic Grey Olivia paper pad.  I have omitted a sentiment so this could be used for any occasion.  I like having several of those in my stash so that a sentiment can quickly be added to fit the occasion. Finally, this card is also uses this week's Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge .  Below is the sketch that Janette provided: Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you are having a fabulous weekend.

Sassy Cheryl Digi Challenge and Show Me

This week over on the Sassy Cheryl Digi Stamps Challenge Blog , Sassy Jackie has challenged us to use the following sketch with our Sassy Cheryl digital images.  I love a good sketch! Since I am also sharing with Cheryl's "Show Me" challenge this week I took a "before" photo as this card was in progress.  I had so much fun coloring this new winter image called " Smooth Sailing" with my favorite Sassy Sally image.  Cheryl is offering this image for $2.00 until Sunday, December 2 at 5pm EST. This card definitely took on a life of its own today!  The finished card is 5.5 inches square.  I also substituted the right thin panel with a Memory Box tree die.  Does anyone else ever start with one idea in mind and then end up with a totally different finished project?!  That was me today! Of course, Sassy Sally was colored with Copic markers.  I applied a little liquid applique to Sally's hat.  The sky and snow were sponged with Memento...

SNSDC82 - Interior Decorating

You can find the Friends of Sweet 'n Sassy Blog Hop HERE or simply scroll down. Wow, has another week already gone by?!  And 2012 is quickly coming to a close as well! Well, it's Friday again and that means it's time for another Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge.  This week the challenge is "Interior Decorating" - decorate your card inside and out.  This is something that I really wish I could do with every card.  I am usually so focused on the outside that I forget the recipient will be also looking at the inside!  So, here is what I came up with this week:  This is the outside view. This is the inside view. My window view was created with the Memory box Grand Madison Window die.  A panel was dry embossed using a Cuttlebug folder and the sentiment panels were die cut using Spellbinder Fancy Tags.  I used a Sweet 'n Sassy Digital Stamp called " Snow Friends " for the interior and the sentiment came from the new " Eskimo Kisses...

Mo's Digital Challenge #162 - Don't Be Square

It's been a few weeks since I've had a chance to play along with Mo's Challenge Blog .  This week is "Don't be Square".  I decided to color up this adorable image by Mo called " Snow Day " and make a chipboard ornament. Below are the supplies that I used for the snowflake chipboard.   It was super easy to create!  I applied the SU Craft White Pigment Ink directly to the chipboard.  Then I liberally sprinkled the Stampin' Emboss Iridescent Ice powder over the wet ink.  I quickly heated the entire chipboard piece with my Marvy heat tool.  The image was colored with Copic Markers, liquid applique was applied to the coat and the entire image was fussy cut then applied with dimension foam to the snowflake chipboard.  I added a piece of silver cord to hang the snowflake. This hanging ornament is for the following challenges: Mo's Digital Challenge #162 - Don't Be Square Tuesday Alchemy Challenge #41 - Anything But a Card Sassy C...

There She Goes Challenge #182

I finally got a chance to play along with this week's challenge on There She Goes blog.  I love me a good sketch and this one was super fun!  Here's the sketch that Jessie has provided: Here's my take on the sketch using There She Goes Clear Stamp set " Jungle Out There ": The leaping lion was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut for dimension.  The head was stamped again and applied with dimension foam.  The adorable papers are from Bo Bunny Camp-a-Lot paper pack.  I used Sweet 'n Sassy's Star dies and layered a Basic Grey clear yellow button and pearl.  I had a lot of fun making this little card.  I know I'll be reaching for this set again soon! Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  I hope you're having a fabulous weekend.

Can You Digi It? Challenge 23 - Clean and Simple

Welcome to another Can You Digi It? Challenge .  This week our challenge is to create something with a Clean and Simple design. I used a newly released image from LilyPink Designs called " Live, Laugh, Love " for my clean and simple design. The base panel has been dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  The digital image has been sponged lightly with Stampin' Up!  Pixie Pink ink then die cut with Spellbinder nestibilities.  It has been layered on a panel of Pixie Pink cardstock.  A quick and easy card for my stash! I hope you get a chance to play along this week.  A random entry will be drawn to receive a $10 gift certificate to the CanYou Digi it? store. Be sure to check out all of the fun inspiration that the CYDI design team has provided for you this week!

Jellypark Friends and Sweet Stop Sketch #185

This week's challenge over on the Jellypark Challenge blog is "I'm Hungry" -- to use food or drink.  I have been wanting to color this super sweet Jellypark digi called " Ice Cream Van ". I have paired it with this week's Sweet Stop sketch with a twist "Tasty Treats". The image was colored with Copic Markers and paired with papers from Basic Grey Shine On paper pad.  Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!

Sassy Cheryl's 100th Show Me

It's hard to believe that this is the 100th week of sharing with the ladies over on the Sassy Cheryl blog !  Cheryl is adding something special to the celebration this week.  The random winner will be getting a $10 gift certificate to Cheryl's online shop.  Wow! So, I wanted to pop in with a quick post before the week gets away from me. There wasn't a lot of crafting time this weekend, but DH and I took the pups for a walk at one of our many parks.  The sunset was so fabulous!  Unfortunately, this photo doesn't begin to show variety of colors.  Of course, I went off without my camera so this was taken with my iPhone (which explains the quality).  Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  Grab your camera, take a photo and share with the Sassy Cheryl gang.  You can check out the details HERE .
