Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero Challenge - Shake It Up!

I'm joining the current challenge at Hero Arts featuring their December Kit of the Month .  I received my kit this week and couldn't wait to play! The background stamp was inked with distress inks and spritzed with water before stamping using a Misti.  I really like how it turned out!  I used an A2 Shaker Pocket from Tonic Studio filled with Sprinkles Embellishments from Stampin' Up! The space themed images were stamped onto water color paper then colored with Tombow markers. I finished the card with a sentiment from the set. Happy Holidays

I purchased the adorable Teamwork set from Colorado Craft Company recently.  I'm just in love with the sweet critters and whimsical style of Anita Jeram! The image is large 3.75 x 4 and was stamped onto water color paper.  It was colored with Tombow markers and blended.  I kept the design clean and simple to focus on the sweet scene.  This will be going to a co-worker with a little Christmas gift! Unity Stamps Emboss Resist Let It Snow!

I've created a couple of snowy cards tonight. Both cards were stamped onto gloss photo paper from my stash.  I have several stacks of the photo paper that comes with printers.  Since I never print photos I decided to experiment with ink blending and stamping tonight.   The first card was created using the emboss resist technique and stamps from Unity Stamp Company.  The second was ink blended then stamped with Versafine Black ink.  Various distress inks were used for the base. My Favorite Things Slimline Challenge - December Mini Slimline

I'm joining the current Slimline challenge at MFT which is Anything Goes with a mini slimline size.  My finished card is 3x6.  I enjoy this size and the adorable Happy Pumpkin Season set worked perfectly for this size. The images were stamped then masked to stamp the cobble street road from On Solid Ground .  In hindsight, the brick might have been a better choice but I like the look of the cobblestones!   With the images masked, I used Memento ink to blend the sky.  I removed the mask and colored the images with Copic Markers.  A sentiment from the set finishes the scene.
