Welcome to StanHacks!

StanHacks, hosted at California State University, Stanislaus, is the third collegiate hackathon in the Turlock, California area. We challenge students to collaborate within a limited timeframe to ideate, create, and pitch solutions for real-world issues.

Tracks 

First Responders

  • Improving communication
    • Dispatch, police, hospitals, satellites, drones
  • Heads-Up Displays (HUDs)
    • Building layouts, victim locations (from drones or sensors)
    • Equipment status (advanced PPE Displays)
    • Real-time instructions without obstructing their vision.
    • Firefighters navigating a smoke-filled building could see thermal imaging overlaid on their view.

Health & Wellness

  • Fitness Goal Tracking
    • Sleep patterns, daily energy levels, correlating with fitness goals
  • Doctor/patient relationship improvements (NPS scores)
  • Gamify exercise
  • Mental health/wellness AI Chatbots / VR
  • Chronic disease management
  • Personalized treatment plans

 Career Development

  • Chatbot assistance with interviews; feedback
  • Resume Checker (ATS) (a better way to get an interview)
  • Job/Internship search streamlined (avoiding headhunters)

Requirements

What to Build

We encourage you to create a web application based on the tracks we have provided. Please build a prototype that you can present and demonstrate on judging day.

What to Submit

Submit your prototype/demo of the project. If possible, include a slideshow that showcases your inspiration, methodology, and results.
