ImageCrew has an "owie" on his head from when they broke my water. He's a few days old in these photos. Now that he's 2 weeks it's almost healed. And his belly button/umbilical remaining thing finally fell off yesterday. He's on his way. "He's doing his job" is what Jake said.

Here are a few photos of our darling Crew Nathan Bowman. I'll post more soon!

Jake's Kindergraduation

Here's a snip of Jake in line waiting to enter for the Kindergarten graduation show (he's 2nd in line with the blond hair). I have to admit something. When my kids go to Kindergarten I'm excited for them. It never makes me sad. When Jake went I felt just anxiety. He has some behavior stuff that he worked on a lot this year. He went from not knowing his letters, to reading well by the end of the year. So even though I always thought it odd when parents cry at Kindergarten graduation, this time it was different for me. I teared up several times. I'm so proud of how hard he works to learn and how he doesn't give up. He's a sweet boy. When I look into his sweet little boy face and his long limbs and kind heart, I see the incredible man he will be someday and pray he can hold the world on his shoulders as gracefully as his Dad does.

Pay it Forward

So my friend Amanda had this on her blog and I decided to take her up on her challenge. I really like the philosophy behind this idea, that we can do two things: 1) Find value in homemade again and 2) Send something to people without need reward. I would like to think I can do both of these things, so here's one way I am practicing.

Here's the deal. The first 5 people to leave a comment here will get a homemade gift from me. The only catch is that you have to pay the gift forward by reposting this on your blog. I will check to make sure you've done so. I don't know what the gift will be, but it will be homemade. I'll get it to you sometime soon. I don't promise you'll love it, but I'm not going to make you something I think you'll hate, either, because that would be like an un-gift and defeat the entire purpose.

Here's to Paying it Forward!
