Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 10

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last 11 years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Image

Paint a wood panel with Home Decor Chalk paint.

Image

Spritz through a holly stencil to give some color to the background.
Gather assorted floral elements and add to the upper half of the panel.
Fill in with pinecones and moss.

Image

Paint a chipboard ornament with green paint.
I used several layers of the ornaments, gluing them together to create a thick panel.

Image

Decorate the chipboard ornament with cardstock and a Christmas paper.
Add a wood reindeer, adding stickles to his nose.
Adhere twine around the edge and adhere some floral elements to the holes.

Image

Place the ornament panel on an angle on the panel, using wood blocks to support the ornament.

Image

Fill in with some moss.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 8

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last 11 years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Who doesn't love playing with crayons?  And how fun would this be to give to your favorite teacher.

Image

Using a wood pallet, draw a circle in the center which is used to line up the crayons.
Using hot glue, glue each crayon around the wreath, following the circle just drawn.
Be sure to mix up the colors.

Image

Once the first layer is complete, add a second layer to fill in the spaces from the first row.
Simply use hot glue to adhere the next layer.
Adhere a metal "Welcome" sign to the bottom.

Image

Create a bow and adhere to the top of the wreath.
Add a rope hanger.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 5

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last 11 years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Image

This snowman was created from a canvas which I painted with Gesso to give it a bit of dimension.

Image

I used heart shaped buttons for the eyes.
The carrot nose was created from a popsicle stick and painted orange.
The I added 5 brads for the mouth and tied a ribbon beneath.
For the hat, I used a paint stick which I painted black.
Then used a piece of burlap for the top of the hat.

Image

Using my Bowdabra, I created the bow using left over ribbon scraps.

Image

For the buttons, I found and attached bottle caps.

Finally I used modeling paste to add "snow" about the panel.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 3

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last 11 years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Here's a fun project to create with the kiddos - Christmas ornaments or package tags.

Image

Select several different Sizzix dies and some chipboard.
Because I wanted some substance to each piece, the chipboard was a good choice.

Image

Die cut a snowman, a tree and a Santa Claus head.

Image

Next, use the same dies to die cut assorted colors of cardstock.
Fussy cut each element as necessary and adhere to each die, bringing each to life.

Image

Add brads for the snowman's eyes and black stickles for the buttons.
Add stickles along the tree branches and brads for the ornaments.
Add brads for Santa's eyes, pink stickles for his nose and white stickles for his hat and mustache.

Then, depending on how you are using these pieces, punch holes and thread twine through.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 1

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last 11 years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Today I'm sharing 2 gift card holders.

Image

I dislike giving gift cards at the holidays, but sometimes, it is the only gift that will do.
Why not create the perfect "card" for those gift cards.

Image

Cut green cardstock 4 1/4" x 11".
Score at 2 1/4" and 5 1/2".
Punch a half circle on the smaller panel and add some tape along the edges.
Fold on both scores, creating a pocket with the smaller fold.
Add pattern paper inside and a Christmas sentiment.

Image

Create another card using red cardstock.

Image

Slip a gift card in the pocket.
Cut cardstock and pattern paper to fit the card base.

For the card front, cut cardstock  3 7/8" x 5 1/4".
Cut pattern paper slightly smaller.
Adhere to the pocket side.

Image

Decorate as desired with assorted die cuts.
Mrs. Claus was perfect for the front of this gift card.

Image

Add a simple phrase to the front panel.
