Well Easter weekend, finally we have some nice weather and we have a jam-packed weekend filled with family from out of town, my grandparents' 80th birthday and soccer games as well as Easter Egg Hunts. Finally when I ask Ian what Easter is about- he won't answer with "Easter Eggs!" He says, "It's about God and him dying and coming back to alive." We're making progress....
Then off to the soccer game.....
Ian did great. The kids are finally getting the hang of it and the wind wasn't present so it was a lot more manageable. Ian scored 2 goals. However after he runs like 2 lengths of the field, (which is probably 50 feet) he'll buckle over in a dramatic fall and say he's tired, right in the middle of the game. It's hilarious. One time he just stopped and layed on his side and propped his head in his hand in the middle of the game. I wish I had a picture of that.
But mostly he does this, and they fall on top of each other! :)
The kicker to my weekend is that after we went to my aunt and uncles for my grandparents 80th birthday party, (who flew in for the week) I began feeling a little nauseated. I wish I had pics of that. My cousin is getting married and her fiance has a little 3 year old girl that the boys LOVE. It will be fun having them to get together with. They played great together and we had a great visit. I went home and apparently I caught the nasty bug that Luke had this week. It crept up on me and put me OUT. My precious husband has been great. This morning was a beautiful Easter day and after getting a total of 3 hours of sleep and my big pregnant stomach being in knots, I couldn't go. Puking is the worst when you are this pregnant. The boys looked so precious in their Easter shirts and Jer took them to chuch and then over to my aunts and uncles for lunch and another Easter Egg Hunt. They came home and took a brief nap (well Ian doesn't nap but he stays in his room for a little while. Now they are off to Grandma Cat's (Jer's dad and step mom that live here in town) for ANOTHER Easter Egg Hunt. My bug seems to be tapering off. But I am still thankful for this Easter Day and what it means. I'm thankful for my family and my amazing husband that has taken great care of me and the boys all by himself. Hopefully spring is here to stay. I'm going to ignore the weather forecast for snow this week. :)
