Corvin's First Award

Every week at Corvin's Elementary school, they work on a new trait or virtue. This week's trait was H.O.P.E (Halley Offers Positive Education). Corvin was nominated and received his award on Friday morning! He was definitely surprised when they called his name and he was even more surprised when he realized I was there (it took him till almost the end)! I'm so glad that he loves school and is already making a difference!

Our Attempt at Seeing the Cherry Blossoms

The peak of the Cherry Blossom Festival was actually last week but since Hans was still light sensitive from his PRK surgery, we went this week instead with some friends of ours. It was chilly with the wind blowing and we didnt stay too long but it was fun! We even took a picnic dinner with us and ate on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial.

Its so hard to get a nice family picture sometimes so this was
the best one!

I was joking with Hans that this is normally the face that
he makes whenever we try to get a nice picture of the two
of us. Apparently my friend caught it on her camera for us!

Fun with Bubbles

Ck LOVES bubbles but he gets easily impatient with the bubble wands and then 2 minutes later says Im done! The problem is that he can do it, but its not a continual stream of bubbles which he wants so while shopping at Target one day I found one for a good price and it was a HUGE hit with Ck. Most of the pictures speak for themselves... Ck loved it, Lydia wasnt too sure about it but she did have fun watching Ck run back and forth!
